I called about having a hot tub hooked up and was told that I would get a call back from the only person in the company who handled that. I got a call back two weeks later. We agreed on the work and the price and made an appointment for ANOTHER two weeks later. Five minutes after the appointment time, the person called me back and cancelled, saying that they did not want the work. Meanwhile, I've lost an entire month.

Best ever! We called for what we thought was a minor issue that was actually a minor nightmare. Charles went above and beyond. He explained step by step as he went through the process so there were no surprises.

Excellent experience all around.
I needed to run 100 A service to my detached garage which was running at 60 A, although, poorly. I had used Henry's in the past to install an outlet in my attic (for cameras), but for some reason, decided to first get a quote from another Electrician. That Electrician never came out and had me send them numerous pictures via text and explain what I needed. He even stated my current box was 100 A and needed to be upgraded to 200 A, but this was not true. None of the pictures I sent would have shown this which was the red flag for me. Even during this process I had to continuously chase him for updates. Finally they came back and said just to upgrade my house panel (100 A to 200 A) to accommodate the 100 A to the garage subpanel would be $5,000 -- and after that, we could discuss the garage upgrade. The discussion ended there, and I called Henry Electric as I should have done in the first place.
Charles came out the next day and I walked him through what I wanted to accomplish. The same work I was quoted $5,000 for was $1,100. This included a new breaker box with plenty of room for expansion and a much needed upgrade from my main panel which was installed in the 80's and was quite a mess. This was the proper reason for a panel upgrade, not some lie used to bump up the cost of the job like the first Electrician I contacted.
Overall (New main panel, underground wiring to garage, and new garage subpanel), the cost was $2,150. That's less than 50% of the previous quote for 1/2 of the work. I scheduled the service for the following Wednesday which was perfect as I work from home on Wednesdays.
I dug the ditch from my home to the detached garage myself to save some money (regretted that decision 10 minutes in :) ), and found that the original wiring was 3"" underground at best, and the wiring used wasn't even rated for 60 A. Code is 18"" depth, so I'm very happy to now have the conduit 18"" below ground and a MUCH heftier wire that is actually rated for the proper amperage.
Charles was fantastic! He kept me informed of the process, any issues he came across along the way, and how he was going to resolve those. It ended up taking much longer than expected, but Charles said he would be back the following morning to finish the work, and he showed up, as stated, to complete it. He even brought a tool for me to use to chip away some concrete to allow the electrical conduit to sit flush with the garage side wall. Again, saving money for work I could do myself and saving me from having to rent a tool which would have defeated the cost savings.
Charles finished the job and it turned out perfect. I will be installing my own outlets in the garage and he was kind enough to provide me with tips/recommendations for this.
Even with the job taking longer than expected with the few hurdles encountered along the way, the cost was just what the estimate stated.
I will use Henry Electric for any future work I need and would not hesitate to recommend them to my friends and family.

We had something come up that needed replacing ASAP for my insurance. Billy came out within an hour of my call, gave me a very reasonable quote and had me scheduled immediately. Something ended up breaking during the repair but they did not charge me for it. Nicest guys, super transparent and very trustworthy. Will be calling them for all of my electrician needs moving forward!

Billy has come here on two occasions and each time he has figured out the problem and fixed it!!!

I have used Henry Electric for at least 5 projects at my home as well as referring them to my customers. The receptionist, Judy always seems to be warm and make me feel appreciated and Doug, who does the installs is very transparent. He has helped me avoid some bad decisions with my electrical, given me some great ideas for my addition, and always has a great attitude. I would give them 6 stars if I could.

Henry Electric have now let me down on two occasions, in as many days. Simply put, they just don't seem to care, and I have found them so unprofessional to deal with. When I dared to tell them that letting me down two days in a row was not acceptable, and that I would not be giving them a third chance, I was accused by a member of staff of being inappropriate in my choice of words. That could not be further from the truth! Do yourself a favor and find a company that actually turns up when they say they will!

We contacted Henry's based upon an ad in the local Treasure Chest publication to install 4 can lights and replace a bathroom exhaust fan. Everyone we spoke with was extremely helpful and offered a free on site estimate. The representative arrived on time and provided a verbal quote which was followed up the next day with a matching written estimate. The work was scheduled at our convenience the following week. They were in constant contact with the tech's name and ETA. Billy called when he was on the way and arrived a few minutes early. He did a fast and professional install, cleaned up any mess and sure he answered all questions. We highly recommend Henry's.

I took a day off from work waiting for them to come. Called three times to get an update. The dispatcher was rude, at 3:30 claimed they could not come until 5, when I called back and explained that I took the day off the technician could care less, and said if I didn't want to re schedule that was alright and we were not the type of customer they wanted. Arrogant and rude, and no one I would recommend that wants quality service and customer consideration.

I contacted Henry Electric on July 2, 2016 after reading Angie's List reviews and getting recommendations from realtors. We provided our Inspector's report from the home inspection to help with the scope of work we wanted to have done to our home.
On July 6, 2016, the owner of the company, Chuck Henry, came to the property for the quote. THIS IS THE FIRST MISTAKE IN THIS WHOLE PROCESS!!! While the gentleman is probably very knowledgeable and has been in the electrical business several years, his understanding of how to quote/bid a job is unreliable and even his own staff say he should no longer be involved with cost estimations. Unfortunately we did not know this and thought it was a good thing to have the owner provide the quote. WRONG!
We received a quote on the same day which seemingly did a good job of outlining the repair work which needed to be done with price for each item our Inspector's report highlighted as needing attention. But, as mentioned before, this was not a good estimate and ended up changing the day work was to start.
We did not get comparable quotes based on reviews, recommendations, and the seemingly good experience from the site visit and quote quick turnaround. So, we scheduled in mid-July for the work to begin in mid-August. There were a few red-flags that we should've paid attention to before, like when the son of the owner called to try and understand more about the work being performed. Another was the note on the bottom of the quote which read ""NOTE: IF PERMIT IS REQUESTED, WE WILL ADD AN ADDITIONAL FEE"". We discussed this permit over-and-over with both the son and the admin, which both said we could get a permit any time between work beginning and work ending - as long as we had the permit before work ended. More to come on this permit fiasco...
So, two (2) days before the job is to begin, we receive a call asking if the start time can be moved from 9:00AM to 11:00/11:30AM. This was a minor inconvenience considering some of the work was being performed on an in-law suite which is rented out and required the tenants adjusting their schedule to accommodate. But, we were able to shift the start time as Henry Electric requested.
Then, on the day of work to begin, we get another call asking if the electricians could come at 9:00AM. Given the short notice, we said we could not accommodate since the tenants would be adversely affected. The electricians arrived at 11:30AM and this is when all of the problems begin. Because we wanted the work to be permitted, we were told that each line item from the original quote would increase. And, despite us asking for an updated quote showing the increase, we were sent Keith...IF YOU HAVE KEITH COME TO YOUR JOB, BE FOREWARNED - he is not professional. As a customer, we have the right to understand why a price originally quoted by THE OWNER is now increasing. Yet, Keith decided to be argumentative and rude and also say how we were inconveniencing his day because he had to pick up his son at 3:00PM. SERIOUSLY! We didn't ask for you Keith, and why you were sent in the first place is still unknown. If I were the owner, I'd definitely get feedback from other customers on you and start finding out how unprofessional you really are. And even after his unprofessionalism, we were still willing to understand what price increases were going to happen and were going to authorize work to continue. BUT, since it took an hour to straighten everything out, Keith decided the day ""was a wash""...meaning, no work would happen as scheduled for the day. I think Keith called it a day because Keith was inconvenienced with doing work.
We called the office and spoke with the admin about needing to get work done as scheduled as well as giving her feedback about Keith. She apologized for him and said ""we don't do business this way."" WRONG AGAIN! Because despite her saying she'd work on getting a quote and someone to help us, we got a call from Chuck Henry. Without going into his excuses about giving a generous quote and the job being ""too emotional"", he said they were going to decline the work. He didn't ask us any questions, didn't want to hear our side of the issue, and obviously didn't care that he wasted ours and our tenants' time in this as well.
Do yourself a favor and find someone else to quote any electrical work you need. This company is unorganized and unprofessional.
