Hired them to hook up gas to my new double oven via referral from Teco. Tech showed on time and did the job.
Or so I thought.
Oven kept having issues heating up, the stove top did not cook well, so I finally called GE.
Their tech told me that the incorrect orifices were installed, meaning they installed Liquid propane ones instead of natural gas.
Worse yet, the oven came with natural gas orifices, but changed them to liquid propane.
The oven came with the correct ones. Tech from GE tells me the parts should have been saved behind the oven. They weren't.
So, now I have to wait a couple of weeks for the correct parts. My oven is simply unusable right now.
Inexcusable!

Was reluctant with the bad reviews but used them anyway. Super nice and communicated every step of the way. Had them replace a pool light and although they quoted the wrong type of light over the phone, they had one with them and it was swapped out no problem. I never had to pay anything until the job was done. John came out and was very friendly and talked me through what they would be doing and when he was done showed me how to program the light. I would not hesitate to use them again.

So, back in August I had a gas leak going to my pool equipment.
Called Hawkins and gave my cc info to pay a service call. They recommended replacing the gas line. Fine. They did the work while I was out of town.
The technician kindly left my pool equipment in service mode so I returned to an algae mess. Ok. Good service is hard to find.
Fast forward to yesterday. I get a vmail and text.
""Hi Mr. Owens my name is Joe I'm with the hawkins service company um I'm part of the collections department and I need to find out what's going on with an invoice that um we did for you back in August um we did some gas work at your residence in which _ we installed a petri _?_ on the on the house _?_ pipe through the attic to the other side of the house and went to an underground underground and brought gas to your pool heater there's an invoice for $1250 has not been paid my next step is to lean your property and we really don't want to do that...""
Never got a bill. Just a nice threat that I'm responsible for their billing incompetence.
Won't use them again.

I just wanted to take a moment to thank the A/C techs at Hawkins. My A/C has been having problem after problem and these guys have been so quick to help when I need them. I want to mention Scott C. as he has helped me out twice now. This past weekend Scott was a blessing, he not only helped get air running through my house again for me and my kids, but he took the time to show me how to troubleshoot some things on my own. I really can't thank him enough as he went above and beyond!

I would put a zero if I could. The workers they have hired are the rudest people ever ! They came out to install an electrical line. They drilled through my brand new fence without asking. When we questioned them about it the man got an attitude with me and threatened to call the cops on me on my own property. They packed up and left a hole in my house and in my fence. He was such in a hurry to complete the job because it's Friday but they had time to order pizza and have it delivered to my house. I have called the office several times and can't get anyone to help me. Don't hire this company !!!!!!

Made appointment, followed up, they confirmed. Two weeks later, not a peep...guess they are too busy. Figured out how to fix issue myself.

Hit/Miss - I've had these folks come out 4x in the last year, the first two visits were after we purchased our home and wanted to get ac maintenance and some electrical work done in the attic. The electrical guys were nice, said that a ton of work had to be done and would draft a report so I could share it with our inspector of oversights... never got said report (even called requesting the promised report), paid about $1,200 for some rewiring. The HVAC guy came out did some ac service and sold my mom (standing in for me as I was at work a $144 annual service plan). The annual service plan includes cleaning/maintenance and an inspection of the unit 2x a year. The 3rd visit was December for the HVAC service plan purchased, my wife was home, and a gentleman by the name of Scott (according to the slip left) came in. She said he wasn't very friendly and gave us an estimate for a new unit. Last week the 2nd HVAC service (of the annual maintenance plan) took place and Jonathan was AMAZING, this technician was the ONLY reason I repurchased the service plan for next year. I do see the value in their plan. He was prompt, super thorough, friendly and my gut said trustworthy. He explained a float switch or something that had gone bad and replaced it for me. He appeared to have spent the time and attention in cleaning out the unit very well and left the space fairly tidy.
I will ask for Jonathan by name for my next service, I hope he sticks around as I know this industry has high turn over.
This company does call you for your service if you don't call/forget.
Jonathan turned my experience around (5 star) but the company is a solid 3 star otherwise.

Do not waste your time with this company. They will set up an appointment with you and tell you they will call the day before the appointment to set up a time. They send you a work order that won't have the appointment date in it and when you call them to find out what time they are coming they tell you that you never had an appointment.

Terrible response.
They have a standard response that it will be a week and a half before we can get there. They won't schedule a day and tell you they will call 24 hours before they materialize.
Shameful service and despicable customer service.
Why in the world does Hayward allow these people to represent them?

We had a gas water heater go out on us on a Thursday evening, floor our garage and when I called TECO to replace our water heater they sent HAWKINS ELectric - SAME DAY!!!! Walter and Tyrone showed up, EXTREMELY Professional and spent time to educate us on simple maintenance, worked to get right - not Done!
Can't say enough about their response, professionalism and courtesy. Thank you Hawkins and TECO for a fantastic program!!
