Prompt, well-qualified AC techs who are quick to diagnose and correct problems. HSC replaced a capacitor on an AC unit that would not heat, cool or blow air at a price not much higher than a service call -- handled quickly and expertly by a professional. I have used Hawkins for pool pump replacement and install of a new Trane air conditioner in the past, and they are always professional. Hawkins is a very versatile company with numerous specialties, including plumbing and electrical. I would definitely use them again.

Update: a day after Hawkin's service so called ""fixed"" my AC, the AC is no longer cooling. Had to call another AC company. All these will be documented to show how poor the quality of this company's service is.

Had two guys from the company come to my residence today. A simple easy fix for pool equipment ended up being a two hour job. Those guys were determined to take care of my issue. When I say above and beyond, these guys even exceeded that. Kudos to Jason Samples and Joe Goff. If you have pool issues and use Hawkins, then request those guys. You can't go wrong. They will be the only ones that will work on my equipment. When I use Hawkins again, if either one is not available, I will just put off the repair until they are.

We called for a quote to hook up our gas pool heater to the gas line. We had to make several calls before we were able to talk to somebody. When we got the person on the phone. He was short , rude and interrupted my wife and myself.
Upon coming to our house , he did not ring and let us know he had arrived, Instead he went to the side of the pool equipment moved things. Then came to the door and with a I'm better than you attitude . When we walked around to the equipment, He started by saying that we needed rain gutters, move the heater and other things. After pointing out that his company had done the instal, he said that was not his problem.
They were a different part of the company. He then went ahead and said that permits needed to be pulled . At the end he finished with a push to schedule the work, not an estimate like he was supposed to do. When I said after I got his estimate I would call and possible schedule.
I had done my home work and knew that NO PERMITS were required, along with gutters, and other things he said we needed and they could do that the equipment was designed to be out in the weather. .The run was half the distance he measured.
I talked to a neighbor who had the same installation who said they did not get this treatment. Seeing as how West Bay homes uses them for pool hookups. I would suggest using someone other than this company. We have talked to the West Bay office about this and they Thanked us for letting them know. We have looked into using another gas company for our work.

I originally hired Hawkins to install the gas line for our new pool heater due to recommendation from Teco. I was actually glad to find a single company to service different utilities (gas/elect/hvac/pool) and avoid hand-offs / finger pointed when dealing with multiple contractors. I have no complaints from the original job. Tommy / Carlos and crew were great to work with and handled the few minor issues that came up quickly and professionally. We passed all inspections and the heater is up and running.
However, months later I contacted them again due to an issue with my A/C (gas) furnace not lighting. I was informed that they only work on the plumbing and not the appliances / equipment. A bit disappointing since info on their website seems to indicate otherwise. I will have to start over to get a separate company to work on my A/C and hope it's not related to plumbing / prior work. It's still not clear what issues they will / will not handle.

2 days before ThxGiv, we have a huge issue with our Gas lines. All I'll say is Tommy Yates came through big time! Stayed till midnight did right by our family!

Spoke to Tommy multiple times. Forgot first appointment. Sure stuff happens. Second appointment was supposed to be between 9am and 10am. Again called said before 11am. Now wants to come at 1145am. No respect for other people's time or schedule. Basically if you want to do business with these people get ready to sit at home all day and hope they show up. I recommend go somewhere else where they respect the fact you set an appointment.

Worse service of any company in my experience. Called for appointment to get pool heat pump fixed. Called twice and was told they would schedule and get back to me. One week later I called to see when it would scheduled. In five days it would be scheduled. Called back in five days to see when the repair man would arrive. I must have misunderstood as they were only going to schedule the work today not do the work. Two weeks to schedule the work and another two weeks before they would do the work! Bottom line 30 days to schedulethe work and still did not show. Two days after in fact they were suppose to come they called and gave a time window the repair man would arrive. Ridiculous. Found another company that sent someone the same day and had the work done in two days.

Just watched a guy a Hawkins Service van run a red light, cut off two cars, and then tailgate a tiny sedan up Fowler Avenue and onto 275. I can't comment on their service calls, but if these are the type of employees they employ, and the way that the employees respect others, I will never be calling Hawkins. Really appalled at what I just saw!

Very professional work. They give us the best price and the most cost efficient options every time. I don't hesitate to recommend.
