A friend referred me to HES because our AC was not working due to an electrical issue. I reached out to Rodney and he returned my call immediately. He and Logan made the time to come out the same day and take a look at the electrical panel. They even went up into the ceiling to check the junction box. This resulted in a very big project. Rodney and Logan explained everything in detail and took the time to walk me through the process. I really appreciate their kindness, professionalism, and patience because much of this was new to me. Rodney's estimate was fair.
In order to access the ceiling, HES needed to cut the drywall. They repaired and painted to match the existing drywall. This detail was something that another company had told me they would NOT do. This project was supposed to take a week and they finished way ahead of time. Rodney and Logan gave me daily updates and made sure everything was clean before they left. I also had the pleasure of working with Stephanie, who handled billing and any additional information I needed. She even communicated with me while on vacation with her family. HES replaced our electrical panel with new panel in a new location, new conduit and wiring, 42 new circuit breakers were replaced and upgraded, replaced existing junction box, and rewired it to be brought up to electrical code. I highly recommend HES. It is fair to say, they truly care about the customer and safety. I will definitely be using them in the future because they are trustworthy and deliver great service, not to mention HES also provides other repair services that I will be needing.

These guys are awesome. Came to look at the job in Kailua the day after we spoke - and were right on time. Logan reviewed the work I needed, gave me quote and I said ok. Then they asked when do you want it done - I said ASAP. They said, we can do it today if you want. (right?!?). They were in and out in 3 hours tops (others had said would be a whole day). Professional, courteous, clean and stellar work. We have found our new go to electricians. Mahalo Guys!

The job was to upgrade the original electric panel on a 50 year old house, look for grounding problems, and split up an overloaded circuit. Rodney responded extremely quickly to my request for estimate, he offered good suggestions as solutions and came to work on a Sunday. Rodney and his sons were courteous and worked very efficiently. The panel was upgraded to be all new with plenty of spares for future appliances, some outlets were upgraded to GFCI for safety and the overloaded circuit split apart to make things safer. The job was finished in 3 hours and the project from estimate to completion was 4 days. I will definitely be using Hawaii Electrical Source in the future.

The 20-year-old ceiling fan in my son's room had a short, so we needed to find an electrician to help us install a new one and make sure the wiring was safe. Rodney from HES arrived with his crew and in about an hour, had everything up and running. They were very professional, respectful (took off their shoes at the door), and easy to work with. Now my son can keep the cool air circulating in his room and we don't have to worry about accidentally burning the house down. Should I have an electrical issue in the future, I plan on calling up HES.

I needed minor electrical work which involves diagnosis a three way switch for my garage lights and mount a small light fixture to outside tile wall. Called Saturday and left message, a lady called me back minutes later, awesome. She needs photos, so I sent photos of wall switch and my outside lights. A guy calls me hours later and ask me a few questions, no problem. Here is where I had issues, He quoted me $320. Check ok? he said he normally takes cash.

I agree with the price and asked when, he said Monday. Done. Monday is a holiday but I'm not hiring a union contractor. Monday comes and goes no call. He finally calls me late afternoon and asked if he missed his appointment. His excuse it was a holiday. Fine he can come over Tuesday. Done. I asked him to call me before arrives and texted my address. He agrees.

No call and he yelling at my gate at 8am. He said he couldn't find my number. I give him and his partner that the job was done under an hour. I asked what do I owe him because I have to write a check. He said $350. Nothing changed except for his price. Why?

Btw, both didn't wear mask.

I was able to set up an appointment with Colton the next day. He called me when he was on his way. He was very knowledgeable in which light fixture was the right one to use as I had bought a few different ones. He also wired my Ring Camera. He tried to help me set it up but I was having problems with my WiFi. He waited for me to contact customer service but It took longer than expected and I had gotten disconnected. He wanted to stay to make sure I had it set but once I heard he had been working for me on his lunch I told him It's ok for him to go. I would have to call back customer service.I jokingly told him good thing he wasn't charging by the hour. His fees were fair and upfront. He even recommended a camera for the back of my house and gave me a pair price. He even called me later to check if I had been able to set up the camera. He gave the best service ever.I would recommend his company and I plan on using them in the future.

I bought a new ceiling fan at Home Depot and asked for help with installation. The next day I got a call from HES and set an appointment for the following Saturday for a noon to 1400 show time.

The service person call me and told me his estimate time to arrive was 1230. He arrived at that time and was clean cut and courteous. He got to work removing the old fan, assembling the new one and completed the installation in a jiffy.

I am satisfied with HES and with my new ceiling fan!
