Harrison Electric & Solar
Company Overview
We handle everything, ranging from solar energy solutions to electrical maintenance. Our expertise lies in creating, implementing, and launching solar energy systems quickly with the Utility. As certified solar battery installers, we can add battery solutions to your existing configurations and design new systems that include them.
Established by Luke Harrison, Sr., who served as a Chief Electrician's Mate in the U.S. Navy, Harrison Electric & Solar has proudly served Southern California since March 31, 1960. In that time, we have executed thousands of projects, spanning from tiny home repairs to extensive industrial power solutions. While Luke Sr. left us in 1976, his values of integrity, empathy, and diligence endure through three generations through his son and grandson.
Today, we have the ability to perform our own design work, load calculations, and provide plans for permits, which include Title 24 compliance calculations. Since our incorporation in 2013 as Sonpower, Inc., we have been known as Harrison Electric & Solar. As a corporate entity, we maintain the same standards of honesty and integrity that have characterized our company since its inception.
Harrison Electric & Solar is a family-owned business spanning three generations. Launched by Luke Sr. in 1960, his son, Luke Jr., has been involved in the business for a long time. Luke transferred the presidency to his son, Steve, but he still plays a vital role in crew management, equipment troubleshooting, and the design of solar and battery systems. We provide these solutions promptly for our clients.

We had our panel updated and upgraded as well as the addition of a subpanel for the garage done by Harrison Electric & Solar. They were professional, well priced, and did quality work. They even went above and beyond with the addition of lighting in the garage, a larger subpanel than we requested for the garage, and usb capable outlets.

I needed my kitchen fluorescent light fixture replaced. They turned it into an LED fixture, using the same base. Very fast, professional and careful with the job, my house and COVID precautions. I was very pleased.

I contacted Harrison electric to replace a light fixture. I ended up replacing all recessed lighting, 2 light fixtures, and adding a new light. I had a wonderful experience working with this company. They were very responsive and work was scheduled quickly. The team was professional and competed work was also great. My only regret is that I lived with my old ugly lights for 12 years when it was this easy to have all the issues corrected!

Initial contact was with Rachel via telephone. She was very pleasant and professional and kept me informed in regards to the date and time service personnel would arrive. Nick and Angel were the two service guys that arrived, and they introduced themselves and were wearing masks. They serviced our breaker box and replaced switch and cleaned the breakers. They worked efficiently and completed the job. The cost was the same as we were quoted. We are extremely pleased with this business and will definitely refer them to others, and will call them in the future, should the need arise.

I contacted Harrison Electric to install an upgrade to my Enphase solar panels. We agreed on a date and they showed up (September, 2019) on time and spent 2 full days doing the installation. They were very professional and explained what they were doing and cordially answered all my questions. I thought the price was quite fair.
About 6 months later my internet connection to the panels stopped working so I asked them to return. They told me they would, but it would be a while as we were in the midst of COVID and they were a bit shorthanded. They explained that the panels were still working fine and all the data would be stored so nothing would be lost.
Luke and his son came out in June, they showed me the issues, and then fixed them. All the old data was retrieved and my system has been operating fine ever since.

I had a breaker pop and would not reset so called Harrison Electric because they came highly recommended. Rachel answered the phone and she got all the information from me then let me email her a photo of the problem panel. I was worried about being able to locate replacement parts because they are no longer available. She wrote me a very nice detailed email back with information on what I could do and additional questions to figure out what the problem could be. We were able to get the breaker working again without a service call and there was no charge.
They were organized and honest and now have a customer for life.

After calling several local electricians in the Whittier area, Harrison Electric promptly called me back. Had my electrical panel upgraded and inlet switch installed. They were professional and easy to work with.

These guys were friendly and professional! They fixed our electrical issues in one day and the power was only shut off for 1-2 hours. All in all, cost was under 1k. I will definitely be calling them for any further issues!

Our panel went out on 90 degree day. I called at 9:00 and they were busy but Rachel said she would do her best to get someone out today. She Did! Steve came out and fixed the panel. They got us going in a cost effective way without selling us a an expensive panel. When I was walking through the neighborhood a few days later, Steve drove by and waved! Highly recommended.

I called Steve over at Harrison electric & solar because I was having an issue with my lights flickering he gave me a diagnosis over the phone and after checking everything he asked me to, this problem ended up being an issue on Edison's side. Steve is very knowledgeable and knows what he's talking about. In the future I will definitely be giving this company a call for any electrical needs that I have. Thank you for your help.
