Harrison Electric & Solar
Company Overview
We manage all aspects, from solar installations to electrical repairs. We specialize in creating, implementing, and launching solar power systems quickly with the Utility. With our certification in solar battery systems, we can add battery solutions to your existing configurations and develop new installations that utilize them.
Created by Luke Harrison, Sr., who served as a Chief Electrician's Mate in the U.S. Navy, Harrison Electric & Solar has been dedicated to serving the Southern California area since March 31, 1960. Throughout the years, we have accomplished numerous projects, from small residential services to large industrial power plants. Even though Luke Sr. is no longer with us since 1976, his values of integrity, empathy, and diligence endure through three generations with his son and grandson.
Today, we have the ability to perform our own design work, load evaluations, and supply plans for permit applications, that encompass Title 24 requirements. Since our incorporation in 2013 as Sonpower, Inc., we have been known as Harrison Electric & Solar. As a corporation, we uphold the same level of honesty and integrity that have been the foundation of our company since day one.
Harrison Electric & Solar is a three-generation family enterprise. Launched by Luke Sr. in 1960, his son, Luke Jr., has been involved in the business for a long time. Luke transferred the presidency to his son, Steve, yet he continues to oversee crew management, troubleshoot equipment, and design solar and battery systems. We provide these solutions promptly for our clients.

Recommended Customer Reviews

This company is awesome!
Steve and his technician were polite, knowledgeable, fast and professional with the projects we needed done at our house. Steve took the time to look for all possible solutions for us and ended up saving us thousands of dollars compared to other quotes. I cannot recommend this company highly enough and am really happy to have a local go to electrician. A+++++

Wow, customer service top notch. We were able to get same day service and repair a broken power outlet. I've put these guys in my contact list because of how they let you know every step of the way what's going on and what needs to be done. The service is professional and diagnosed and fixed our issue quickly. This business is a breath of fresh air in a sea of mediocre repair services.

Steve came out and provided a verbal estimate of $2,000 to get a ceiling fan installed including having electricity run to the location (12 ft vaulted ceiling). That seemed a bit high to me, so I asked for a written estimate, knowing that I would be getting other estimates to compare to. I gave him my phone number and email address and he said that I would get an estimate in a couple of days. Week and a half later I get a voicemail from office manager again giving me verbal estimate of $2,000. In the time between I received estimates from 3 other electricians for the same work ranging from $500 to $600. Office manager called back again, this time I spoke with her asking for the estimate to be emailed to me because I thought there may have been some confusion as to what I wanted done because their estimate came in 4 times higher than the other estimates received. Again, I asked for an estimate to be emailed to me. I was promised an estimate by end of day. I never received that estimate or another call. I ended up going with someone else.

Had problems with another contractor that removed insulation and we had no power for cable phone and AIR CONDITIONING 87degrees in the house Harrison Electric came out and fixed the problem in no time

I found Harrison Electric online and decided to give them a try since they were nearby in Whittier. They sounded like a smaller business and I like to support small businesses, as long as they know what they are doing. I called on a Monday, and the phone system sounded professional and quickly got me in touch with someone to schedule an appointment for Friday. They called the afternoon before to confirm, and the technician showed up right on time Friday morning.
My technician, Steve, was awesome. He was professional, courteous, friendly, and worked fast. He had all the tools and parts to do 3 different repairs in my house. The price was great also, under 200 bucks to get most of the lighting in my house working again. He also fixed my electric car charger on the spot! I wish I had called them sooner.
I definitely recommend them and I'm very happy with the work they did at my house.

My company hired Harrison Electric to install several disconnect panels into our warehouse for installation of a CNC router, a vacuum, an air compressor, and a dust collection system. These guys were great! They not only did the installation, which was very clean and well done, but they also educated us along the way. We had the pleasure of getting to know Luke and Steve a bit, and also Martin and his son, who handled the installation. Since the install we have reached out to them a few times with questions and they have always gone above and beyond by responding very quickly with helpful answers. Harrison will always be my first call. Thanks!

Harrison Electric did a wonderful job installing 4 new ceiling fans and retrofitting existing ceiling fluorescents throughout our home. They were very careful near the newly painted walls. They put a drop cloth down to place the old fluorescents on and vacuumed when they were done.
I would definitely use them again for any future work.

This place is a joke, made a appointment and they said ""we charge to come out, I agreed"" they never showed and never called.. I live in Newport and this was for a home I own in Whittier Ca. Very unprofessional company (thumbs down) I drove all the way down from Newport Coast and they never showed by the scheduled time and never called. Another Flake contractor.. typical

This company is very professional and provides great service. I had new kitchen lights installed, garage LED lights and misc outlet work. I really am enjoying the bright and efficient LED lights. They were quick and everyone was a pleasure to work with. Their prices are fair and reasonable and I would definitely recommend this company. I know I will be using them again for any electrical work. Thank you Steve for taking care of my work and all of the follow up! I really appreciate the customer service you provide.

Hired Harrison Electric to install a 240 volt outlet and a Level 2 EV car charger in my garage. The installation process went smoothly and everything is working as it should. They are very experienced and knowledgeable with this type of installation. They also did a great job of cleaning after themselves. I would highly recommend!
