I hired them or at least I thought I did but have heard nothing from them for weeks. I have sent a few messages but nothing back. I read get reviews so they must be good. I can't rate them yet but I am still waiting and hoping I can.

These guys are great!!! They are punctual and just all around great people! They did such an amazing job assembling furniture pieces; and lifting heavy items up stairs is no simple task! We hardly noticed they were there because they were so efficient and discreet! I highly recommend hiring Happy Family Handyman for your home repair/assembly needs! I hired these people to repair my closet door that had came off the rail and changed the electric switch that went dead.
They charged me $130 for the labor for fixing the closet door and $30 for the labor to replace the electric light switch. I paid $160 for the labor and extra for the parts totaling $200 back in December of last year, 2020.

6 months after I had paid them for the repair, my closet door fell off the rail again, exactly the same problem that I had hired them in the first place. I called them about it today and they said they do not guarantee their work for 2 reasons;

1. because it was a damaged closet door that needed the repair...?!

The above reason for refusing to stand by their work did not make any sense to me. Then they claimed the door should be replaced rater than being repaired. So I asked them why they did not mention it to me back then. If that were the case, they should have mentioned it to me before they started the repair work and charged me for it. They should have given me an option of replacing or keep on repairing it every 6 months. They never ever mentioned anything about replacement. They took one look at it and said they will will fix it and went to Home Depot to get some parts and charged me $130 for the labor, no mention of the need for the replacement of the door whatsoever.

2. Because it is ""how people use their closet door differently""......?! I believe this
reason for refusing to honor and stand by their workmanship deserves any response. The entire house was only 2 years old back then. I bought a brand new construction house and moved in in 2019. And the door came off after I had the carpet floor replaced with laminate floor in 2020. the people who installed the floor, replaced the closet door incorrectly after the work was finished. It was very awkward to open and close it after the flooring was done. But I did not bother them to come and fix it because the door fell off after about 3 weeks later and I did not want any argument with them.

If you can deal with people who will take your money and do not stand by their work by blaming you, these are the people to call.
