These guys are SCAM artists. I regret even having to share this personal experience and review. This business was referred to us during our home remodel by our GC and we gladly looked into their license before hiring them. The proposal is clear as day at $75 per hour and with materials included. During the work days, we noticed that the owner of the business, James and who in fact was THE licensed electrician often arrived mid-day, not actually contribute inside the home or sat in his car and when inside would get yelled at by his colleague, Tom MacManus incessantly. We were really confused on who actually was doing the work and our other contractors observed Tom's reckless and often unprofessional attitude while actually in our home. He would drop wires all over the home, broke our sprinkler system in the attic area, kicked boxes around with absolutely zero regard for cleanliness. It was super odd and uncomfortable for several folks observing this.

After 2-3 days of work, we heard the electrical work was STILL incomplete by our GC (Tom was SO slow and did I mention sloppy) so I had to finally step in meet with Tom (because James doesn't talk) on a day that we're at the location to finally get an invoice (multiple attempts and requests were made at this point). On the last day, I once again noticed how incredibly sloppy Tom was in his work. I regretted hiring this guy entirely but wanted the remaining work completed under my supervision and to get them paid and out of the way so other contractors could finish. On that last day, Tom threw together an invoice that was $150 per hour at 65 hours. He said we had to pay him and the owner for each hour they were there. He padded the hours and either thought we were going to be bullied into defeat or assumed we were too rich to care... either way, we refused to pay what was FRAUD. We asked to speak to the owner as Tom at this point threw another tantrum in our home, proceeded to yell at my husband while I tried reasoning with James. James reviewed the proposal and agreed with us that it clearly states $75 per hour. However, the owner, James Hanshaw-- clearly no spine or control over his business. No wonder he gets yelled by Tom all the time. He deferred to Tom as his ""negotiator and collector"" and said he would get back to us after speaking with Tom. We said we would honor the original proposal absolutely but not the invoice he threw at us in that final day. They were not only asking for more than the original proposal but Tom purposely lied by stating James should get paid 8 hours when I know for a fact, James was only at the home for 4 hours on a number of days. Not only did I fight back but I filed a formal complaint against them with CSLB. These guys have a whole scam - bait and switch set up here. Save yourself the heartache and AVOID doing any business with these two clowns.
