This is such a great resource! I've enlisted Handyman Heroes for years and have always been pleased with their services (misc. odd projects like replacing door hardware and shelf placement). I tend to keep a list throughout the year and then call them when there's enough to do to meet their three-hour minimum. I've always been impressed with their skills, professionalism, and congeniality --such nice guys! Most recently, in 2023 and 2024 respectively, Jose Mendez and Samuel Hernandez were of great help. Thank you, thank you, thank you. We are so grateful HH declined our request for plumbing, electrical and general repair/installation projects.
HH original estimate was $7000 and we eliminated some projects and the final estimate was $5000. We are going to ask questions and change projects with spending this amount of money. We are seniors living on a fixed income.
HH decided they could not deal with changing plans or asking for info on items which need to be replaced. HH charges a 30% mark-up. HH responded they could not help us. We are beyond grateful for your decision. We found a licensed plumber who replaced and installed our leaking toilet valve for $200. Our approximate total expenditure for labor and parts will be less than $2500. Again, WE can't thank enough for the significant amount of money you saved us by declining our job! .

Samual was right on time. Had a tricky large dent in a metal canopy over door and be buffed it out, sanded, primed, and painted it. It looks perfect now. All in a morning too. Friendly and great problem solver.

Don't do reviews often, but I've found it's so hard to get reliable, communicative, fair priced handyman help in the city that I felt like I need to drop a review.

Our handyman hero, Samuel Hernandez, showed up on time, communicative on all the right asks, stayed on budget, did the work they promised they'd do, and overall very respectful. Called the next week for more work after having such a positive experience.

Work: installed tv mount + new outlet within a mantle, added an butcher block extension to counter top, removed old bathroom screen doors.
