General B License #1073709 The inception of Handydads in 2013 came from Adam Martinez, a local real estate investor, who saw a gap for dependable handyman services. Adam, facing difficulties in securing quality assistance for home repairs, resolved to build a different kind of service. He aimed to establish a company that felt more like family and less like a corporation. We provide honest opinions, not just sales tactics, when you contact us. Consider us your go-to for advice... just like your dad would be!
We hold General B License #1073709. Before starting Handydads, Adam Martinez worked as a union butcher for prominent supermarket chains in the SF Bay Area. In 2012, he combined his passion for real estate with his knack for home repairs, beginning to buy, rehab, and wholesale properties across the nation. He saw a strong need among investors and homeowners for affordable, quality repairs. The year 2013 marked a significant moment for Adam when he and his wife welcomed their first daughter. Handydads emerged from Adam's pride in his family and his dedication to quality work. Today, Adam cherishes moments with his amazing wife and two beautiful daughters.

Jamie B.They were very professional, did exactly what I asked, and got the job done efficiently. I highly reccomend Handydads and will be using them again in the future!
Jolene C.I appreciate the efficiency of Jesus. He was extremely cordial and mindful of all covid restrictions. He patched and retextured a ceiling area with great care. Jesus also obtained materials needed and replaced a trim board on the exterior of the house. I will definitely call Handydads again to review my new list of ""to do"" items that need attention. The best part was that my husband could come home from work and not have a project waiting for him. Great job!
Sean L.I hired this company for what I thought was a simple job. Installing three sets of mirrored closet doors.
We had recently installed brand new carpets, and we take care of our home and don't allow shoes inside, period. That includes my 68 year old mother and 70 year old father.
My wife was home for the install and asked the two workers to wear shoe covers. They seemed unhappy about the request, but gave in. However, she caught them without booties on the brand new carpet. I then called the office since I was at work and told the office. They assured me it wouldn't happen again. Since my blood pressure had just gone up, I checked my ring camera and saw one of the workers walk outside with his show covers on. He then walked back in, with the same shoe covers on. Shocker.
I then returned home from work to inspect the job. The job was done sloppy. The cuts on the closet rail track were sloppy and they did not sand them down to be smooth. Damage was done to several of the doors. If I wanted it to look like it did I would have just done it myself.
The owner, Adam, went to my home the next day to inspect the work. My wife was home, and showed him the damage. Adam was understanding, however, he did make the excuse that "" the doors might have been damaged already from Home Depot"". The problem with that excuse is his employees still would have installed damaged doors. I find it hard to believe all three doors had damage from Home Depot.
At this point, he is coming back to redo the work. I Think the lesson here is do the job right the first time, and if the customer wants you to wear foot protection you do it. Period. Maybe I'll add a star if the job is done right the second time.
Karon H.I originally saw Handydads on Facebook and the trucks around town(Brentwood). I wss having trouble finding someone to do a relatively small job at my daughter's house. I called and set up an appointment. Adam came and looked at the job, within a few days a day and time was set. I and my daughter will definitely called upon Handydads again. Jesus and Tony fine work and Lori so helpful on the phone end of the company. We are so happy with the work!
Handydads showed up with a mask on and was very efficient and knowledgeable. My projects ranged from gutter cleaning to replacing a shower head and stopping a running toilet, so I was very happy to find a one stop place for all of the household repairs I can no longer do on my own.
Leah N.They are reasonably priced, cleaned up after they were done with the work, and they were patient while we tried to figure out what was going on with our bankcard. This was great for us, as they did an electrical job, as well as a plumbing job. It simplified things by having one company do both jobs. We are quite pleased with the jobs that were done.
Leanna M.We needed some electrical work done ( replace some circuit breakers and GFI plugs), based on a recommendation I called on a Monday morning. The first lady I spoke to got my contact information and a description of the work needed and told me I would be contacted shortly. Another lady called and got more detailed information of the work needed , got my email and street addresses and all contact numbers at great length. This lady seemed more knowledgable about the services offered and told me they could handle the job and would get back to me later that day or the next day at the latest. It is now Friday night and I have heard nothing from Handydads. If they couldn't / wouldn't do the job it would have been nice to be told so. Would NOT recommend.
Adam (the owner) was just awesome! Showed up on time & wearing a mask. He was incredibly organized, patient, and accomplished all the tasks I needed with expertise. Will definitely be hiring Handydads again!
A little delay with communication. But once an appointment was set they showed up on time and did the job quick. And even pet the dogs!
Very pleased. Would definitely use again for jobs around the house.
They moved a large couch up a turned staircase in minutes. It would have taken me far longer to get it done. Well worth the money to not deal with the stress.
Crucially, they could come weeks before any other handyman firm that I contacted (and that responded). They arrived spot on time and while here, they were cordial, communicative, competent and clean. I recommend them highly.
