Had an emergency situation. Called Handy Electrician in hopes he would answer his calls on a Sunday.

Of all the electricians I called today he was the only one to answer and he was also available.

Explained to him the situation and he was able to give a quote over the phone.

He was honest about his availability, and also mentioned if he had to do more that was not inclusive based on his estimate.

So my mother's home needed a house knob. Exactly what i said. What the heck is a house knob?


Well Percy came to our rescue. I called at 12:15 pm. He said he had a prior commitment and would come by between 3 and 3:30. Sent his ETA of 3:45. He was here at 3:37 pm.

Very thorough in explaining what he needed to do. Explained our next steps.

Very great personality.

Pricing was reasonable especially for a Sunday visit and triage. $150.

Will use him again if ever presented with another problem and would recommend.

We are currently in the middle of a kitchen remodel and two days ago the electrician that our GC scheduled drops out to do a different job. Given the timing of when materials arrived and when other trades had been scheduled to perform their work, we needed someone to come and do the requisite electrical work in our kitchen with two days notice. I called up Percy and he was able to come out the next day to quote the job. He looked at the work that needed to be completed, talked through each step and made sure that any concerns or questions were answered. Understanding our time constraint, he was also quick at getting us his credential before the work began, as our HOA required them. He also came out the following day to complete the work. The work in the kitchen only took him a few hours to complete and some additional work in another portion of the home also took only a few hours to complete. Also, he went out to exchange the light switch I had purchased when he saw that I had purchased the incorrect switch - he really went really above and beyond.

When I had an electrical problem at my house, I didn't know who I could trust to do a good job and treat me fairly. I reached out to Percy because I saw that he'd donated his time and skills to a charitable organization in my neighborhood. He got back to me quickly when I reached out to him online, and it was easy to schedule a time that was convenient for me. He arrived on time and repaired the problem in less than an hour. I liked that I was able to pay with a credit card or Square Cash instead of having to write a check. He's an easygoing, personable guy and I'll definitely call him again the next time I need an electrician.
