I am extremely pleased with my whole experience. It's very rare that I am able to say that! I called Bill on Saturday and he answered right away. He was available Monday (today) which was fantastic because my house was in disarray. We decided to start at 8:30a & that is exactly the time Bill arrived at my door. I've had a lot of people in the past show up late, take excessive breaks, go on hour and a half Home Depot trips etc but today was all focused & efficient work. It is so nice to feel like it was money well spent at the end of a workday. Bill is smart and hard working. I only had to show him what I wanted done once. He didn't need constant supervision or instruction - another plus! He was friendly and upbeat throughout the day despite having to put together the most tedious chandelier I've ever seen (with almost no instructions). To sum up - Bill is awesome and I highly recommend hiring him. I don't think there is anything around the house he isn't able to do. He is also extremely prepared - he had every item that was needed throughout the day. We are thrilled!!

He did a small job for me this time, but he's already give me an estimate for a much bigger job that will happen in the next few months. I emailed Bill with a list of things to do and he responded quickly to give me a quote with his availability. I eventually had him hang some heavy mirrors and change my porch light. What I liked best about him was that he was very precise and detailed - he measured everything so that it was perfectly centered. He even changed out my light switch free of charge. He used to be a Carpenter so I asked him for advice on other things around the house and I will definitely be contacting him for help on my gazebo among other things. Professional, quality work and overall nice guy. Glad I listened to you fellow yelpers!

Called Bill to hang artwork and repair a closet door that would not close properly. He returned my call quickly and scheduled for the following week. He arrived exactly as promised and got to work. He explained the problem with the door and explained repair options. He worked efficiently and neatly. We will defiantly call him again for our home repair needs.

Follow up called Bill to carry through with a fauce replacement Bill recommended. After 3 emails with no response we had to look elsewhere. If he was too busy or no longer interested in the job a reply to the effect would have been appreciated

Bill Bastian, the owner of Handy Craftsman, is really a true craftsman and professional. We originally called him to change drawer pulls in our new kitchen. We decided to also have him build shelves in our laundry room, install a doggie door in our dining room wall, and hang a variety of bathroom shelves, a large coat rack, and two large mirrors. Bill is extremely precise and does not waste time. The shelves he built in the laundry room are well constructed and look great. He has and brings all the professional tools needed to complete the job, and he is very attentive to details. We were very, very pleased with his work. We will continue to call him for our next projects and will recommend him to our friends and neighbors.
