Company Overview
Unforeseen issues can happen in an instant. When they do, you require a service that acts swiftly. Founded in 1979, Hammond Services proudly serves Griffin, GA. Ed, a retired Air Force veteran, and Barbara Hammond established the company. Ed graduated from Griffin Technical College, specializing in HVAC and Electrical. The business began as a modest venture with only Ed and Barbara on board. Before long, their reputation for quality service attracted more customers, and the team grew. The first employee they brought on was Jeff Snow, an HVAC technician. To this day, Jeff is still with Hammond Services. In 1989, Wayne Hughes joined the team, expanding their services to include plumbing. David Hammond, Ed and Barbara's son, became part of the business in 1994. David graduated with an engineering degree in 1982 and worked in a corporate setting for 12 years prior to joining. In 1998, Ed and Barbara stepped back, and David assumed the role of President.
David enjoys the challenges that come with running a small business. His focus is on constant enhancement and improvement. David prioritizes quality over size; it’s about getting better, not bigger. He knows that by improving, growth will come as a result. Active involvement in his profession and local community is important to him. His Christian faith is central to how he conducts his business.

We have used Hammond for many years and have been very happy with the people and the services. Our new HVAC unit is great but started giving trouble. You guys stayed with it and repaired it properly. Antonio is an asset to your company and we are very happy with his attention to detail and hard work. He listened to our complaints and with a couple of photos I took he got it fixed. Also thanks to Hammond and Lennox for allowing your tech to make intelligent guesses to trace down the faults. I have a car repair service and am very familiar with what has to be done sometimes to trace down electrical failures. We feel good about your company because of your people.

I was visited by both Tyler Redding and John Moore today. They both were extremely helpful and professional. I felt full honesty in my interactions. I feel like there was a fair price and quick service. Thank you to this company for being outstanding.

Extremely expensive for the work that was done. Never again !! Charged $220 to cut out a small piece of sheet rock. and over $300 to replace a 2 inch long 1/2 inch piece of pex. Probably $20 to $30 in parts, That includes the connectors. Honestly, I should have done the work myself. Laziness cost me over $600 for 30 min of actual work time..and I still have to fix the sheet rock for the approx. 6inch X 20inch piece that was removed. Not saying they are a bad company and the tech was very professional however the pricing is a rip off.

They answered the phone on a Friday evening and provided super quick service. With a very nice technician. The work looked great in the end.

Diligent, professional, and worked as a team until the well pump was installed.

We will be using them for any future repairs on our house.

Needed an outlet installed for a dishwasher. The electrician who came out was polite and seemed knowledgeable. The job took about 35 minutes start to finish. The materials used probably adds up to less than $10 at an electrical supplier. I was charged $467.
This is the kind of business practice that hurts the community. Please do not make the same mistake I did by hiring this company.

Update- the next morning, after Mike's visit, we had no hot water throughout the house as opposed to the original issue of inconsistent hot water in the master bath. Hammond then sent James Yevick since it was now the weekend and he was the plumber on call. He was fabulous!! He refused to be satisfied until he knew exactly the problem (and it was quite hidden) and fixed it. James was extremely thorough, persistent and professional. It is obvious that Hammond Services cares about providing quality professional services with excellent customer service. They are not happy until the customer is happy.

I was very disappointed with this Company as I thought they were one of the best in my community. Also, Customer Service was always great until I had a problem. i'm not sure what happened when the Tech came out to do my Fall Maintenance Service, except the next day I did not have any HOT WATER which carried over to the weekend. I managed to get someone in on Sunday afternoon (which was an additional cost) to restore my hot water. Since this situation caused me to feel very uncomfortable with this Company, I decided to look elsewhere for future service. I've also noticed after during some research that their prices are extremely high!! I would advise you to do a comparison before hiring this Company.

Quick, courteous, friendly, trustworthy. Every person I met along the way was so informative. I felt safe knowing they were helping me make the best decision for my home. Mason and Deontay installed my unit and were incredibly wonderful. I can't say enough about Mason: Full of respect and good southern manners. When complimented, He said, ""I try to put myself in your situation."" It is so refreshing to see a company with employees that take price in their work and customer service. Everyone showed up right on time and were super respectful. Will be using them for the life of our new AC unit and would recommend again and again!
