Today, June 18, 2019 I had a follow up appt with Halo
Electric who gave me a previous estimate of $270 for the work needed in correcting the lighting of my condo. Upon arrival and surveying what was needed to be done, the very kind service man said the estimate quoted to me did not include the bulbs and materials at an additional cost of $200. I simply asked for some type of discount to make me feel good and to compensate for their error in the estimate. I also drove 100 miles for this appt. As quoted by the owner of Halo, because the error was in good faith I would get nothing because of their error. I would have been happy with a $25 gift certificate for any future work!! I told the service man to take all his materials and leave without doing the work.

I have seen a 10% discount on a Halo Electric for seniors and military. That is truly lovely....but nothing for me other than my anger how POORLY this was handled. I asked a businessman friend how he would have handled this situation and he said as an owner he would have at least called me with an apology. I will not be recommending Halo and owner, Josh, to anyone who asks me for a good electrical company in my area. What a shame.

Halo did a quality job replacing our defective (Federal Pacific) sub panel in our condo. They did a detailed estimate, which was 50% lower than the nearest competitor. Josh showed up on time, was informative, did a nice job of labeling the panel in detail, and then neatly cleaned up the job site when finished. He had to cut into the wall to gain access, and he used a razor instead of a drywall saw, so it would be easier for me to patch later.

I would not hesitate to call them first next time. (Mr. Sparky quoted more than twice the price!)

Tom and coworker responded to a minor electrical problem I had.
Reasonable, professional and highly competent! Cleaned up after themselves. Highly recommend Halo. Also, I needed it done in a certain number of days and of all the electrical repair companies I called, the only one that responded the same day I called (AM, not late in the day). Set up an appt. and they even showed up early!

Tom and Dominic from Halo Electric came by today to hang our island lamps. They were very professional and friendly and finished the job very quickly. Also cleaned up after they were finished. We would definitely recommend Halo Electric. Roll Tide :)

Josh came by today for a variety of electrical mysteries to fix. He found and fixed every unusual wiring screwup made by the previous owners. Josh is extremely capable! I had three nonstandard and extremely in the holy moly category that were safety risks. Several home remodels were performed before us buying this house; you never know what was done that is non-standard and could cause a fire until you investigate. Thanks Josh and Halo!

Had a gfi outlet go bad. Called Halo Electric to repair it. They were able to come out the same day I called. Electrician checked gfi, determined it was bad and replaced it. While he was here, he also checked out the rest of our gfi outlets. Very nice gentleman and gave us quotes on a couple other items we need to take care of in future. Price, we felt was very reasonable. Will definitely have them come back for any electrical repairs and the two projects we have.

My daughter had no electric on one side of her house. Josh? came and quickly diagnosed the issue and immediately started the repair. Efficient, professional, and very reasonable cost. Would definitely use Halo again if we ever have another problem!

Do not hesitate to use this wonderful company! Not only was their quote very reasonable, they actually came in UNDER quoted price after the project was completed. How many times does that happen?? The electricians not only did a wonderful job...they were also friendly, meticulous and cleaned up after themselves. This is a small family owned company that we as a community should support. I will definitely use them again and continue to recommend them to anyone who needs electrical services!
