Recommended Customer Reviews
The reviews about this company's unfair or deceptive business practices are true. We have used Hallatt electricians for many years, mostly for small jobs and we were satisfied with their service and reasonable price.
This year we called Hallatt Electric for a small, simple job but received an unreasonably high invoice. Even the invoice included 3% for the credit card processing fees if payment is done by credit card. When asked why the charge is so high, Paul explained that charges included even traveling time to the job site.
We found that the company changed ownership and that explains all. Customers, be aware of what this company can charge you. They are ripping off their customers. Ask in advance what they charge, and how much is hourly rate to avoid receiving an invoice with a price over $200/h per electrician for a simple job.
After this experience, we will never ever give any job to this company. Ripping off its customers often ends up in disaster and hope this company will learn its lesson from the very same customers it ripped off.
on January 4th 2023 my wife an I arrived at our winter home in carriage village in north fort myers. This is our 13th year in fort myers .we found out right away we had no power to our Mobil home. after contacting LCEC they informed me the problem was not there's but the home owners.at the advise of people in our park ,I called Hallatt electric service in Cape Coral. a guy name Paul came out an informed me the main breaker at the pole behind my Mobil home was defective. He told me the breaker I need is almost impossible to find. but he would check an get back with me. it's late at night we have no power in our home.the forecast for the next 7 days is suppose to be 30s at night an 50s during the day. we spent the night in our home by the light of a flashlight. next day Paul from Hallatt called to say he found a breaker.it would have to be ordered.it would take a few days.the cost of the repair would be $900.00 for the breaker an 2 hours labor at $150.00.. per hour .total 1200.00 we needed the repair as soon as possible,it was get it fixed or return to our home in Michigan. what we thought would be maybe 5 days, turned out to be 11 days we stayed in our home without electric. I called Paul a couple times to ask where is the part.you must have a tracking number from UPS. we are 77 years old so the cold was terrible. I'm sure it doesn't take 11 days to ship a breaker UPS. there not our us post office. when Paul came out to do the repair I timed him.He was here 30 minutes total.not the 2 hours he charged me for. later I found out the most expensive main breaker you can buy Retail is $450.00 or less. if this isn't taking advantage of old senior citizens I don't no what is. price Gauging . please fellow seniors shop around.I would steer clear of using Hallatt electric service. I see Hallatt replied to my negative post. as a business that relies on positive reviews to keep there business going I am not surprised they choose to attack my review of them. you can choose to ignor my negative comments about Hallatt, and hire them.that's your choice.I just wanted to pass along what they did for me. there are other negative reviews about Hallatt posted on other review sites. so I'm not alone. the BBB closed the complaint after I would not agree with Hallatts claim.the BBB is a joke. if you choose to do business with them an get taken to the cleaners after reading my review, you were warned. Paul is a Lier
Hallatt was recommended to us by a family friend and I'm very happy we decided to go with this company. I needed a full replacement of my electric panel and grounding system to satisfy home insurance preferences.
Paul was a great partner in this process! He was very communicative with me and walked me through how to take photos of the current electric system to get a quote without needing someone to come out to assess the system. Super convenient--love that. I got a quote from another highly-rated company and it was over double the price of what Hallatt quoted.
The day of service was great. The team worked seamlessly with FPL and coordinated a day and time to shut off my power, install the new system, and turn everything back on.
I would recommend Hallatt to anyone seeking reliable and affordable service, along with a great customer service experience. Thank you, Hallatt team!
NEVER use this company for ANY services!!!
The only thing this company excels in is robbing customers blind!
Gave a quote for $300 for a small job and sent a bill for over $600!!!
Buyer beware!!! This company is the very definition of SHADY!!!
Minus 100 stars would be an accurate rating, if only Yelp would allow negative star ratings.
Hallet Electric of Cape Coral, Florida I would not recommend.
Patrick came to my house to appraise the job, adding four overhead lights and one on off switch. Patrick said the job may cost as much as $300 if the workers had to drill through rafters, otherwise about $200. He provided no written estimate.
when I decided to have the work done I called Patrick and again confirmed the pricing. He confirmed his original estimate. About a week later two workers show, one around 9 AM and the other around 10 AM. They completed the job about 11:45 AM.
Patrick emails me an invoice several days later. I am stunned when I see the bill, over $680. I called Patrick he says the cost of materials expensive and states the PCV pipe they used. I informed Patrick the PVC was a total of a four foot piece. They used less than 40 of wire, I provided the lights and switch.
I believe this business preys on senior citizens.
I do not recommend this business.

Recently I had some work do to my home. During this process there was some electrical work done. Hallatt Elec. did the work. This is the only company that I did not have to watch them do there work (inspect). It was done correctly, timely, orderly. Thanks to Rodney Green and his main man Martin. It's so nice to get something done correctly the first time with no hassle. Like it use to be when there was pride in workmanship. # 1 electrical contractor !!! THANKS
