Recommended Customer Reviews

Hadar and his crew are great! Responsive. Timely. Clean. Clear pricing. Great quality work. Highly recommend.

Hadar and his guys are great. Clean, trustworthy, honest. No upsells.

After getting a quote from DIFFERENT GUY to install a new bathroom fan for $850 (???), I called Hadar and had him come over. I didn't even need to get a quote over the phone, that's how much I've learned to trust him. Sure enough, price was $150. I've used Hadar several times now and he's my go to guy. On that particular job, not only did he install the fan, his guys also fixed a couple of other things around the house at no extra charge. Simply put, he's the most knowledgable, honest, and efficient electrical contractor around. And I'm very picky.

I was really pleased with the service received by H & R Electric. Hadar was great. It's refreshing to work with someone who takes pride in their craft, is reliable and is patient enough to exhaust all possibilities when an issue arises. Pricing was very fair too. I would certainly recommend giving them a call.

Hadar is a straight shooter, honest, and a pleasure to work with. He was easy to schedule, sent an estimate for approval prior to starting work, and then invoiced on completion. He doesn't up-sell you on things you don't need like some other electricians. His work is fast, clean, and reliable. I'll be calling him again if I ever need an electrician. Highly recommended.

Two thumbs up for H and R electric. Professional, friendly, qualified, and honest! Highly recommended!

THIS IS THE ELCTRICIAN FOR YOU!!
Don't bother looking elsewhere-here is the person you need.
ON TIME!
GREAT SERVICE! no issue is too big
VERY HONEST!
AFFORDABLE!
**When I called, he even suggested a way for me to see if I can self fix the issue, instead of coming down to charge me for something small.
VERY IMPRESSED! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

For the past 2 years I have used H and R electric at both my home and at my place of business. Hadar and his guys are always courteous, prompt, and most importantly, do a great and thorough job! The pricing is always fair, and the one or two times I have had to call him back with a question the response has been immediate. I wouldn't take my business anywhere else, and I highly recommend!!

Hadar was scheduled to come by between 1 and 2pm. Shortly after 2pm he called to cancel, saying a more important customer needed him urgently, and offered to reschedule for another day.
To people like me, who are also in a service-oriented business, here's how that should have been handled:
1) If we're experienced, then we should be able to provide accurate service windows to our clients; estimate conservatively if needed. In today's world, people are juggling many things, and often schedule entire days around such appointments, as I - a single father - did. I couldn't do it another day. Certainly don't wait until AFTER the appointment window to cancel.
2) Because I'm also a business owner, I'm more understanding than most about the need to prioritize a better-paying, long-standing customer over a new one. HOWEVER, all clients are valuable, and when you're canceling last-minute and inconveniencing a client, you are heavily in debt to that client, and must strive to make it up to them. You do this by:
3) Offering to come by after the emergency job, or offering to send out another company/tech to do the work. Perhaps you offer to do the job for free on another day. There are a million ways to acknowledge your failure and make it right in a way that's convenient to the CLIENT; not to you. Had Hadar done any of those things, he likely would've gotten a customer for life, as that is exactly the sort of ""put the client first"" attitude which guarantees loyalty and a good reputation.
Hadar might be a competent electrician, but he's also in the BUSINESS of being an electrician, and here has failed, on the most basic level, to treat a customer with the proper value and respect; it would have been easy to do so. As it turned out, the job went to another electrician who was himself competent, had finished his day and was on his way home, but turned around and came by anyway. That's the key; that's the moment he said my business was truly valuable to him. He put MY needs first. He'll be getting my calls from now on.
Remember: as clients, we don't get what we deserve, we get what we accept. I provide this review in hopes that the reader remembers that they're valuable, and that Hadar learns they are, too. You do whatever you must to keep them happy.

Upgrade and install new flash mounted 200-amp main meter box, including all necessary grounding counductors and breakers. Open stucco in order to install new flash mounted meter box, repair all stucco damage when installation is done and repaint. Wire and install new 220 volt dedicated appliance circuits with separate breakers, 30 amp. for oven and 40 amp. for stove.
We called H&R because of the good reviews the company had in Angie's list. Our house was built in 1952 and the electrical panel was not in the best condition. Hadar (the company's owner) came, gave us an estimate and also coordinate the permits with Southern California Edison. During this period all communication with the company was through email: Rebecca was always very responsive and pleasant in her responses.
We got in touch with a previous client of H&R who had similar work done and who was very positive about the experience.
Hadar gave us a schedule for the work to be done: first day we would not have power but at the end of the day temporary connections would be already be in place . Then the second day they would do the stucco repair and finally the painting. Everything went according to the program. The first day a crew of two people (George and Oscar) did all the work and the second day Hadar and George completed the labeling of the circuit breakers as well as all the patching. During the first day an extra connection was done for the refrigerator so we did not have any problem with the frozen food (it was a very nice detail).
Finally, Hadar scheduled the inspection with the LA County Building and Safety Division. Since our house is in an unincorporated part of LA County near Westchester, the regulations are stricter. When the inspector came, he said that an extra grounding was necessary. It was done by Hadar for no extra charge. We passed the final inspection without problem.
The final schedule with Edison was also done by Hadar. Two workers of Edison came to make the final connection of the new panel to the general electrical power source.
Two extra projects were the installation of two new circuit breakers for oven and stove (before both appliances were in the same circuit, which caused several problems) as well as the installation of a surge protector for the oven whose electronic parts are very sensitive to power surges.
Total was $3,650. We paid 1/3 at the beginning of the work, 1/3 when work was completed and the final 1/3 when the LA County inspector gave the final OK.
