Our general contractor used them for our new house construction, and we are still discovering shoddy workmanship and electrical code violations.
When hooking up our new EV charger our new licensed electrician found that they:
- Left a loose supply wire in the 240V socket, which could have melted the socket and caused a fire.
- Violated the electrical code by not using a GFCI breaker on the garage outlet.
- Violated the electrical code by installing too thin of a wire on a 60A breaker.
- Violated the electrical code by not using GFPE breakers on the outdoor heat tape snow melt circuits.
- Installed a 120V outlet loosely hanging in the air under our fireplace instead of properly installing it in a protective box.
Looking at our old invoices, they also charged hundreds of dollars' worth of line items they did not install.

Our experience with H & D was terrific. We had a small job (just a couple of bad can lights & a outlet repair), but they sent someone out within a few days of our initial call.
The technician was prompt and friendly. He had everything fixed within an hour. They were reasonably priced as well. I'd definitely use H & D again.

This electrician was referred to me from an inspector from the contractors board. When I called them the first time it took 3 days for a call back. When they finally came out it took another 4 days for the estimate. When I needed another estimate for a rewire of my kitchen I called again and never got a call back. This company is horrible. It shouldn't take more than 10 minutes for a call back. And never getting a call back on the second time around sealed the deal. They are a horrible company to work with!!!!! They do not care about the customer at all!!!!!
