I was having a weird issues with my outlets going online/offline. Called Leon and he sent Andrew over. Andrew was 20min early and he waited outside the house so as not to disturb me prior to the 8AM appt. Once in, he was very efficient in his troubleshooting. Found a faulty outlet with loose wire which was causing the entire circuit to go offline. The outlet was burnt partially and thank God he caught it. It was definitely a fire risk. He replaced the outlet with a GFI outlet. He also installed 2 new outlets in 2 bathrooms which were optional for me but since he was here, I figured might as well do it. He was very quick and professional in installing those as well. Overall Gurries is my electrician of choice. Nicholas, Lean and Andrew are awesome!

A friend gave me their info. I had a rehab home in Daly City I needed electrical rewire work and recessed light install etc. done back in March of last year. Nick was super rushed on the phone and never got back to me on going to the house for a bid. Not sure why he has five star reviews here insert eye roll

I have found my GOTO electricians! Nicholas has helped us complete a project that I have been putting off for several years due to unreasonable estimate and proposal from others. The houses in our neighborhood are zero-lot line where every two houses share the same access to electrical panels which meant for one house it would mean going through your neighbor's backyard to get to your own panel. My house is one of those. I wanted to bring the breaker box into my garage using an equivalent sized subpanel. I also want a power transfer switch so I can use a portable generator to power low wattage circuits in my house. Very simple and straightforward ask in my mind. I've talked to 4 different electricians, and each one wanting to do more than what I am asking or declining the work. I gave up trying for a couple years, then I tried calling more smaller businesses (the ones with fewer yelp reviews), and Gurries Electric was on my list. In any case, Gurries' quote was competitive, responsive and most importantly, Nicholas listened and understood exactly what I wanted done. His first technician came out to installed everything but failed to get the power going as planned. Next day, Nic sent out another tech, and everything was up after a couple of hours. All this during the height of the Covid pandemic lock down.
Fast forward a year later, everything is working as expected, but then my neighborhood had an extended power outage. The original hookup was configured for me to add a tandem generator to generate 220v, but I didn't plan to run my large appliance anyway so I called Nic to let my single 110v 2.5k Watts generator to power the whole house, but I will switch off the large appliances at my discretion. Nic's team was booked for the week, but hearing that I didn't power for the last 24 hours, he sent a nearby tech by that same morning. It was quick work by his tech, but the care and ethics that Nic has shown is just extraordinary. I am surprised that they don't have more yelp reviews given such dedicated service this company gives their customers. I selfishly hope that they don't get too big like the other guys, and lose their highly valued characters. I will definitely recommend and use them again for all my electrical needs. We used them again for some normal electrical work/adding lights at our house and they did a fantastic job!
