Davan from Gulfstar Electric was great! I live in Fort Lauderdale and needed a Tesla charger installed at my parents home for when we visit . He was very accommodating during the holiday rush and was able to install the charger for us . He was quick to respond to phone calls and emails! If you're looking for a Tesla electrician, highly recommended. I'm sure he does other great work too :)

I was visiting my mom and discovered she needed a new ceiling fan installed. It was a complex installation as her prior fan was not installed well. Davan worked with me during my short stay and was able to quickly help me while I was visiting. He did great work with short notice and I appreciate it.

In the interest of fairness, I'm updating my review (and adding a star) to reflect the fact that Gulfstar left a message on our machine very shortly after I posted the original review. If the electrical issue in our house had not been so urgent, I'd give Gulfstar a second chance. In this case, however, we had a potentially dangerous situation that needed to be rectified ASAP, so we had to go with the first company that called us back in a timely manner. Perhaps next time.

Guess they don't want any new business, as they never returned our call. Very shocking, since we called them first based strictly on these phenomenal reviews.

We left a message last Thursday - during business hours - and waited. No call. Friday came and went; no call. Now Monday is gone, no call. But we've gone with another company that actually returned our call. I suggest you do the same.

Davan installed NEMA electrical outlet for a Tesla vehicle. He looked at all our options for the right location to connect and place the wall outlet and run the electrical line to the electrical box. He had to run the line through an insulated room to the come out into the garage wall. He re-insulated around the hole for the piping on both sides of the wall. The seal is so tight that no air escapes! The work was wonderful and at a fair price. Davan is friendly, professional, and provides great service. I would highly recommend Gulfstar Electric.

Great work by Davan, he installed our Tesla wall connector in the garage, did a professional job of getting it in the right location, and was very reasonable in the price. The charge and the connector are both working well now and am pleased that we got this done. He did not charge to provide an estimate unlike some of the others. Also had a few other jobs done - installed Lutron automated switch as part of this work. He also offered to fix the dimmer switch for our fan as it was causing a problem with the lifx switches.

since moving to Florida 8 months ago, we've run into good and bad, as far as contractors go...Davon was GREAT! I had several estimates for the job on my house, which included changing all plugs and switches (43!), some canned lighting in my kitchen ( which he expertly placed) and some other odds and ends...I had 4 bids, and although he wasn't the lowest, he was reasonable, and certainly seemed the most competent. They were prompt, clean, and ( a pet peeve of my husband) showed up in uniform shirts! Great job, highly recommend!
