Jason was super. Came out, diagnosed the issue, worked as much. as he could on my problem. I was late getting home, and yet he was flexible and agreed to finish at a later date. I then wanted to pay him for the part he was able to do, and he deferred. I would DEFINITELY recommend Gulf Shores Electrical and would and will use them again in Gulf Shores.

While doing some remodeling recently my circular saw caused my lights to blink and tripped a breaker and the problem got worse. I put out a post on social media to a Gulf Shores locals group asking about licensed and insured electricians in the area. I got multiple replies and recommendations and when checking them out and got to Gulf Shores Electrical I was impressed. The glowing reviews and personal stories about this company was encouraging and when I read his personal story, in the company website, about the owner, Jason Shell, and his 20+ year journey that lead from high school to becoming a master electrician. Now I was very impressed by his heartfelt story and called.

It was actually Jason that answered and I detailed my electrical issues and after answering a few questions he offered to send someone over late day or he could come himself after completing an out-of-town job the following day. I opted for waiting for him and as promised Jason arrived early at 8am and quickly identified the problem. There was some VERY bad corrosion in our main electric box outside, the ground and neutral wire were completed disintegrated, it was shocking. (pun intended :-) Jason explained the needed repairs, for the obvious and potentially dangerous problem but he also inspected the wiring inside and under the house to check for any additional issues, which fortunately was in good shape. He provided me with a detailed estimate for replacing the main box, subpanel, breakers, and necessary wiring. The cost was very reasonable and he offered to be out to do the repairs first thing the following day.

Again he showed up on time, as promised, and
beyond the required repairs he replaced cracked conduits and fasteners up the pole and more that wasn't in the estimate and at no additional cost, very conscientious! Cleanup was perfect, like that commercial says 'like it never happened"" and the attention to detail throughout the job has been excellent!

Note: In my experience it's sometimes difficult to pay a contractor wthout cash or check but Gulf Shores Electrical makes it possible and easy via online, nice.

Bottom line: Jason is very professional, honest, friendly, thorough, knowledgeable, and answers calls, emails and texts, which is a big deal for me. His attitude and reliability has been earned my confidence and future business, I highly recommend this company!!

(Context regarding corrosion: This is not our primary residence but rather a cottage we bought years before retiring here in Gulf Shores. It's on the Bon Secour river and this area experiences a lot of morning moisture, almost daily, and the elements can be harsh to outside exposures. This problem did not show up on our home inspection before buying this property because this box is outside on an electric pole so was not included in inspection or report.)
