I chose Guiding Light based on Yelp reviews. I had several small projects to complete in my house. Brandon returned my calls promptly and came out to give me an estimate. He was very clear about what could and couldn't be done, explained his fees thoroughly, and was on time for his appointments. He was able to point out alternates options on a couple of projects which saved me some money. I have some experience in DIY, but don't like to mess around with electricity. Even so, I could see that the work he was doing was of exceptional quality. I will definitely work with Brandon again if I need more electrical work in my home.

I called Brandon to come give me an estimate on some electrical issues and upgrades I needed in my home. He was prompt in returning my call, made an appointment in a reasonable time frame, came out and looked at the work and listened to my concerns and needs. After some initial investigation, he told me I did not need to do all of the work I initially thought and explained why. He gave me a written quote and a date to do the work. He was honest in saying he could not come out for a couple of weeks because of a big job he was currently in the middle of. He called about a week later with a break in his schedule and I was able to accommodate the last minute timing and had all the work done in one day. Professional, honest, thorough, stuck to his quote (even though there were unexpected challenges) I would not hesitate to recommend Brandon, and will definitely use him again if the need arises.

I called Brandon on afternoon and left him a message that I'm need of an electrician to test the wire cables for my outdoor light and /or to mount my night light fixture by my door, if he could call me back for an estimate. Almost in the same afternoon before 5:00 pm he called back and gave me his hourly rate which I found out to be most economical compared to others. He then said that if he can come by tomorrow at 8:00 am, by golly he is prompt, exactly at the dot 8:00 am someone rang my doorbell. I came later that morning and he is already starting to do his work my wife had him check our wire cables by the outdoor lights and told me that nothing is wrong with the wires and neither the light fixtures but only need to change the bulb. Since he is already in our house my wife asked him to check a couple of outlets which he gave his most economical price per outlet and told us somewhere at the end the right for the customer to cancel even though the work was already completed and in writing, what an honest man. I asked him is that really true he said that they service person is bound to let their clients know that they hand over that piece of paper letting them know that customers have the right to cancel even the work was already completed, they being audited by ""Service Bureau"" when they renew their license. I told him now I added one more honest household service person on my roster and be glad to call him again for some electrical needs.

The run a was just over 100' and he got the job done in a couple of days while consulting me along the way to make sure I was happy with the work. He also was very informative, responsive, and respectful of our property

I can not recommend Brandon highly enough. My wife and I found him on Yelp and from his reviews decided to give him a try. We have been having ongoing intermittent electrical issues for some time. We made an appointment with a larger electrical company (JM Electrical) first, but they never showed up or called. I called Brandon next and left a message. He immediately called me back and he walked me through possible scenarios and agreed to come the next day. He was on time, knowledgable and friendly. In a short time a solution was proposed, a new quad breaker was installed and we were back in business. His pricing was more than fair. From the first contact, Brandon was great. Fast response to initial phone call, clear communication, got a quick appointment, let me know when he was on his way, showed up on time, answered all my questions, resolved my problem and explained what was happening and why. And on top of all that, VERY reasonable charge. Not to mention personable and relaxed and great to have him inside my home during these uncertain times.

If you are looking for a competent, reliable, and highly skilled electrician, look no further. Brandon is amazingly smart, well-spoken, and hard working. He took on a very complex 220v wiring project for us and did a wonderful job. We couldn't have asked for a better outcome. He talked over several options about our project and brain-stormed the best way to complete it. Honest, ethical, and knowledgeable. If that's what you're looking for in an electrician, you have found him. Brandon really impressed me. He had the opportunity to sell me a $1500+ service. Other electricians had recommended it, so I had just assumed the service was necessary.

Brandon spent time explaining my whole electrical situation to me, including why the $1500+ repair wasn't really necessary for my particular situation. I felt very confident that if this was a situation where the repair was really needed, Brandon definitely would have done it. However, because this wasn't really a needed repair, Brandon didn't want to sell me something I didn't need, and instead he offered me a different, much cheaper alternative fix.

Once Brandon came and actually inspected my electrical system, he even took it a step further with his honesty. For various reasons that he explained clearly to me, he actually thought it was best to just leave everything as is and not even do the cheaper, alternative fix that he had suggested over the telephone.

He even did a thorough check of everything, including electrical functions in my house, just to make absolutely sure that his assessment was correct. Really impressed with his honesty and his desire to do right for the customer. This is the type of guy you want to hire.
