We are in need of a backup electrical system in case of emergency for our home, and called Gubruds.The rep showed up, and we looked at a number of different possibilities. He left and was going go give us a quote. We never heard back from him. Very disappointing.

All of our living room circuits blew out. Flipping the circuit breakers switches was not working. We called Gubruds and they sent out Josh. He was very efficient, explaining to us what the issue was and how to avoid it in the future. He answered all our questions and was VERY friendly! He got everything working. I had a fantastic experience with this company. I had them come out for an estimate and then to do service. Both times they were there the next day at the beginning of the 2 hour block they were scheduled to arrive in. Also, both times I called to schedule they offered to come out the same day. The only reason this wasn't done on the same day I called was because of my availability, but they were ready to roll!

Josh Warner was our tech. The man was fast, clean, thorough, informative and kind. I've got them saved in my contacts for the next time they are needed!

My backyard lights were messed up and could not find anyone to fix it. Got a hold of Gubruds and they set me with an appointment.Trevor came over and looked at my problem and then quoted how much. I said how confident are you that this could be fixed and he said very. 30 minutes later job fixed and all stress by me gone. Made sure I kept his card cause you never know when you need a good electrician Another word I am extremely satisfied and recommend this company. Ask for Trevor

I had used them in the past and they were good and reasonably priced. So when I looked for an installer for a doorbell for a Nest doorbell, I saw that they were a certified installer and called them. They gave me a price of $1100 to wire a doorbell of which $500 is to put in the doorbell transformer (the transformer is $15 at homedepot). I see the owner responding to other reviews about the value they provide. I would agree if the prices quoted are within reason, but $1100 for wiring a doorbell is not a value.

They are most definitely overpriced. I have had a problem in my home where one of the outlets was not working. The electrician went into multiple rooms and told me if he went into another room there was another charge. He eventually found the problem and had fixed the problem with the electrical in my home. That was not my problem with the company at all. The problem with this company is they overcharge for the little work that they do. They also try to upsell and replace things such as the whole electrical box for no apparent reason for 10s of thousands of dollars. I politely denied the offer because I am not spending 15,000 dollars on a box. No thank you. All in all for the problem that I had they charged about 800 dollars. I felt like I was just ripped off. Next time I have a problem with electrical I will learn how to do it myself other than getting ripped off by Gubrud's.

First, the good news. I am giving this company 2 stars because they were quick to respond to my call and arrived an hour earlier than they had originally told me.

Now the concerns, I had an outlet that needed to be replaced due to the dishwasher cord had melted in the outlet. I was quoted $875 to replace the dishwasher cord and replacing 1 outlet. This was a weekend call so there is a $249 charge for this which I was fine with because I wanted the outlet replaced sooner than later to avoid a possible electrical fire. Once the outlet was replaced the other outlet behind the new outlet was no longer working which operates my garbage disposal. The garbage disposal worked fine yesterday. The technician told me it would cost an additional $220 to diagnose the problem plus repair costs. So, now I need to have a second electrician to come out to figure out what is wrong with the other outlet. After the repair was completed, I received a yelp quote from another company who said they would have replaced the burnt outlet for $250. Unfortunately, this company appears to be overpriced.

I requested service for several non-working electrical outlets in the kitchen area and maybe replacing the starter of the overhead fluorescent lights in the same area. The technician came and said replacing the lighting fixture with more efficient LED lights would cost about $300-400. I said this was reasonable and agreed to this. He then went back to his work van to write up the quote. He handed me the written estimate which now has $1,300 just for replacing the lighting fixture. He said he made a mistake of his earlier quote. That's a thousand dollar change in price! I told him to forget it and I'll just call another service company.
