I needed emergency electrical work but the Sunday electrician wanted $755 to complete some rather basic work (replacing outdoor GFI plug and wiring). I called Groves and used them because he was the only contractor out of 4 i called that called me back on a Sunday. the rest waited until Monday, even though they said they were 24/7. Monday morning the crew was out and the estimate was $350. power was restored and before they left i told them one outlet wasn't working, and they went back and checked the breakers and made sure i was 100% with power before leaving. Workers were polite and knowledgeble and that comes from Chris Groves, who was very professional on the phone on that Sunday call.

I was quite disappointed when, after reading all of the raving reviews, I called and was very politely told that my job was not big enough for them to take my business and was referred to some other companies. Message received: unless you have a big job and plan on spending lots, don't waste your time contacting them.

I called Groves based on all of the great Yelp reviews and overall, I am very pleased. The two gentlemen showed up on time to my home and were polite and professional. I told them my situation and they quickly got to work looking over my home and came up with a solution that worked for me. I was extremely happy to hear they could accomplish all of the work the very same day and did so within about 3 hours total. So.... why not 5 stars?? I'll tell you. I found Groves to be expensive. I also thought one gentleman was trying to nickel and dime me for every little thing and I question whether he was being an expert or trying to squeeze me for more money. One of the two men would say, ""this may work"" or ""it is ok"" and the other would quickly say ""well no, there isn't enough voltage, etc."" I committed to spending $1270 dollars with them and when I asked if they could simply remove a light fixture that wasn't working, I was told it would be $100. When I asked about my microwave bulb, they said they would throw that in for me if I did the work with them but ultimately, they didn't have the bulb I needed so I ended up doing it myself anyways. I just had the icky feeling of being swindled. I don't want to reveal people's names on here but I will say, my electricians were not the ones favorably mentioned in the other Yelp reviews. I didn't have Chris or Kirby and I wonder if I would have felt differently if I had worked with one of them.

I hired this company two years ago. They ended up not fixing my issue and didn't even care and created more electrical problems for me. I will never use them again. No customer satisfaction. Employees were grumpy. Sad

This company is fantastic! I put in a call at 9:30in the morning, they were to my house by 9:45and had my problems fixed and paid for by 10:05. I needed a breaker replaced as well as a GFCI outlet replaced. The service was fast, friendly and reasonably priced. The most impressed I have ever been with a home service provider!

I ran into an electrical problem this morning as part of my pool renovation project and called Groves for an estimate. Not only did they come out only a few hours later, but they also had the problem fixed the same day. I can't decide if I'm more blown away by how quickly they took care of everything or how helpful and professional their crew was, including Chris, himself. They explained absolutely everything they were doing to me and gave me as many options as they had for how to resolve the problem. Groves will be the first call I make for any future electrical needs. Highly recommend!

I couldn't be more pleased with the service I received.
John was like a detective in finding the problem I was having with one circuit.

They scheduled my visit, arrived exactly on time. Spent about an hour checking out the problem, including a trip to the attic. Everything was done very professionally. AND the price, I thought, was completely reasonable.

If I have any need for an electrician in the future, Groves is my ""goto"" company!

After finding out my new home did not have any cable outlets or wiring, I did some online searching and I got in contact with Grooves Electric. I couldn't have made a better decision. Mr. Groves came over and gave me a quote shortly after. The crew that did the job went above and beyond to make my place functional while maintaining an appealing look. Mr. Groves and his crew are very knowledgeable and helpful. While performing the job they even fixed things that were out of scope from my original quote just to make things right. I couldn't be happier with the work done and their kindness. If you need electrical work done, call these guys! You won't be disappointed! They are the best.
