Ric has a pleasant personality and gives you a very reasonable upfront quote over the phone, unlike his competitors. I have back problems and have trouble in walking he was super empathetic in listening to my issues and was very easy to work with. Did not waste his time despite being on an hourly assignment.
I will definitely recommend him to my neighbors and would call him in the future if I need him.

I had some contractor work coming up which need one of my two breaker boxes turned off. I wasn't sure whether this would work with a new solar system installed a couple years ago, so I went out and flipped one of the two main breakers off. This shut off the box I needed to be shut off, but when I tried to turn it back on, nothing happened. The solar company and PG&E both told me it was not their equipment, but the PG&E guy was kind enough to tell me that all I needed was a new main breaker....the one I had was 35 years old original equipment. The first electrical ""emergency"" company I called at 1:30 in the afternoon, wanted $775 to show up and diagnose the problem, plus the cost of the repair. The second was Rick Grover. He answered himself. He said he was on his way to Home Dumpo and to text him a photo of the breaker which I did. He picked up the part, showed up about 4:30 and installed the part in about five minutes. Total cost....$345.....less than half what the other guys were going to charge to show up. From there, he went on to check some other work that I had done mysel. We spent another 30 minutes to do that and compare notes on the wisdom of solar systems....no additional charge. I can only say good things.

Our furnace went out ... when it was cold (of course). Called our furnace installation person and he couldn't figure out what was going wrong. Then called Rick at Grover Electric (we'd done some previous work with him) and he rapidly responded and work with us to get the furnace working. Thank you Rick!! I hired Ric at Grover electric to come out multiple times after an initial upgrade to our homes sub-panel - which he did a fantastic job on to begin.

We were in the middle of a backyard renovation and needed electrical work done at various stages for outdoor lights, outlets and power for an outdoor kitchen. Ric worked seamlessly around the landscaping crew and we're very happy with the results.

The thing about Ric is he is completely transparent about his work. I wasn't sure where we should place various duplex outlets and how much power we would need for the outdoor kitchen so he and I worked through all of the scenarios of where we'd need hook ups to get things just perfectly fine tuned.

We have a home with both copper and aluminum wiring. We had an electrical outlet arc and luckily did not catch on fire. We had one company come out they took one quick look at one of our electrical panels and told us our home was not safe and then proceeded to give us a bill for thousands of dollars with no completion date in mind and expected an answer that same day! We were shocked and wanted a second opinion. I asked around and was referred to Ric from Grocer Electric. I called him and he was out in a few days for an assessment. He recommended he go through and check all of our outlets and switches and make sure they are wired correctly with the correct pigtail and purple nut made for aluminum. He was thorough and explained every step of the process to us. The job was finished in 2 days and was completed on time and on budget.
