I recently had some major issues with a general contractor I hired for a remodel. In order to get the job done, I started watching youtube on how to do electrical work (first mistake). On two separate occasions, I had to call Ric to help me out after I had made some mistakes. He was able to come the same day (and even came the day before Thanksgiving). The two lessons I have learned: don't do any more electrical work myself and always hire Grover Electric for any electrical needs.

If you want a good and honest electrician in the area, Rick is the man to go to. I was about to spend over $200 for a job that was not necessary. What I wanted was to have a shop light come on with my already installed bulbs in the ceiling of my garage. I thought I needed to add another outlet. Instead, Rick told me a much more easier and cost effective way. After speaking with Rick, I just needed to pick up an adapter at Home Depot for a few bucks to accomplish what needed to be done. Rick was honest enough to share this with me. If I ever do need to have some real electrical work done, I'll know who to call. Thanks Rick!

I highly recommend Ric of Grover Electric. Great electrician. Does a great job. Nice guy. Comes when he says he will. Calls ahead to let you know exact time of arrival. Friendly. Knows his ""stuff"".

I found Ric of Grover Electric through reading Yelp reviews, so I wanted to share my experience. First I hired Grover Electric to replace a lighting fixture at a rental condo I just bought, and also asked him to install two other ceilIng fixtures (in closets), where previous fixtures had been capped off. One required additional work because the right wires were not under the capped area. He did not charge extra for that. He was fast and efficient in getting those fixtures installed and they work great.

Then I hired Ric of Grover Electric to do much more extensive work. I am moving the location of my washer and dryer and because they are ""Little Giants"", the commercial grade appliances made by Miele, the dryer needed a step down transformer to convert 240V house current to 208 V current.

Ric had to run two 240 V lines from the breaker box to the new laundry room, then he had to wire the transformer so it would do what we needed it to do. He had to install the correct, special European outlets that will accomodate the German-made washer and dryer plugs . He had to run the wire from the ceiling of the laundry room, down through the wall, then bring the wire through to the inside at washer height. All the work was very cleanly done and finished, in the correct location. He showed me with a volt meter that my new outlets are delivering the correct voltage that my new European appliances require.

Ric also installed a new front door light fixture, a new back door light fixture, a new bathroom light fixture, and he switched an on-off light switch with a dimmer switch.

I am so relieved to find an electrician that I can call when I need something done. After having bad experiences with othet electricians, it is a pleasure to have a ""good guy"" that I know will do the job when he says he will, and do it right.

I recently used Grover Electric for a handful of projects around my home. I'm used to shady contractors, but Rick and his crew were on time, polite and respectful of my home. Their prices were very reasonable, and the work was completed as promised. I appreciate great service, and have already recommend Grover Electric to family and friends. I could not be happier with the service I've gotten from Ric at Grover Electric. After having had a less-than-satisfactory experience with my previous electrician, I was on the quest to find somebody reliable and trustworthy. I called a few other electricians and nobody called me back--seriously, how are some of these people in business?! I then called Ric and he--amazingly--picked up the phone! He came by that same day to give me an estimate for moving a couple light switches, installing cabinet lighting, and some lights in the closet. The price was fantastic and he took care of the job immediately.

Ric is professional and does stellar work at a great value. He is on time, reliable, and has the highest integrity of anybody I've met in his industry. I wholeheartedly recommend him and will call on him and him alone whenever I need servicing in the future.

Don't want to do a negative review for a local business but this is what happened.

I had 2 electrical problems: a wall socket/switch that wasn't working and a canned ceiling light with bad ballast (I mentioned over the phone that it was a fluorescent light from sea gull lighting and that I had tried multiple good bulbs).

He found the switch was part of a 3 way switch and the 2nd switch was just stuck so pressing it fixed it. Great.

The canned light, he asked me to order a ballast and he'd come and install it (because he didn't know it was a fluorescent light, odd, since I said that on the phone). He insisted that I could order the ballast by simply called sea gull lighting with the bulb part number.

The total was $135 for touching a switch and I'm on the hook to order the right things for the bigger problem and pay again for another visit. Out the door in 10 minutes for the easy money. Argh, the whole idea of calling a professional was so they would take care of the problem.

Of course, I called sea gull lighting and they need a ballast model number which I have no clue. So, if I need to pay more money, then I'm going to call another company.

Luckily, another company came out, simply replaced the canned light unit all together, and the total was only $125. He said that for a 26W bulb, almost any ballast would have worked.

In summary, my disappointment was not so much the price but not handling the job from start to finish.

Rick came in to replace and update the outlets and switches in the entire house. Found several serious hazards. Very professional, clean and efficient. Had him at the house three times and was always on time. Would recommend Rick for any electrical challenge.

I had some outlets and lights that were not working at my rental and I called Rick. After he came out to assess the problem, he clearly discussed a path forward so I understood what to expect - both in time and money. I was impressed with how thorough and fair he was. I had a similar issue in my home and called Rick. Again, he discussed what he would be doing and the expected costs up front. He fixed the issue both times within the minimum time. He will even try to talk you through a fix on the phone so he's definitely not out to gouge anyone. Very refreshing.
