I first selected this company on reviews from Yelp. I was happy that they returned calls quickly in the beginning of the project and was about to come back with a quote. Although it was a bit higher than I thought it would be- I went through with the project. I picked a Monday and told the company that I also had another appointment on that same day. I was told that the work would begin around 8:00 am and would only take until 1:00 pm. The worker arrived and asked me to explain the work. He stated that he didn't know what the project was exactly. I walked him around the house and explained the project. I then asked if he was given the proposal from the signed contract. He stated that he was not given anything. Anyway, he started. Around 11:00 am, the worker came to me to say that he was given an emergency call and that he would need to return the next day to finish the work. My husband called the company and talked to a manager by the name of Martin. He said that he would talk to the worker and he would stay to finish the work. At 2:00 pm we had to leave for our appointment and left him at the house still working. He was finished with the project around 4:00 pm. We paid the amount and left it at that. Then we were asked by the county about our permit. I stated that we weren't given a permit by the company. The county said that we needed a permit. I called the company and talked to the manager named Martin. He stated that he didn't know what permit the county wanted. But he would find out and call me back in an hour. After a week and a day I still had not heard anything. My husband then called and was told that in the small print it states that the owner would get the permits. My husband said that we would have gotten the permit if we knew about it; but we weren't told anything. We are now in the process of trying to figure out how to apply for a permit. If you hire this company make sure you ask a million questions and stay on top of the work and know what you want and what you need.

We're near the end of our job now and Griffin Electric has been aces. We've been gutting and renovating while Griffin has been rewiring the entire house. Ron Davison has been leading the job, and is professional and has anticipated our needs and forestalled possible problems since day one. And, he has the patience of a saint. Working around other subs in an early mid-century cottage has been difficult at best, and Ron has remained unflappable and worked steadily.

Griffin Electric did excellent work installing recessed lighting in my lath and plaster ceilings. Ron was terrific with his skills for old homes - he didn't crack the plaster or create extra holes. Not everyone has the patience, ability or the attitude of enjoying the challenges of lath and plaster. If you need this type of job done, you won't be disappointed if Ron comes to your home.

We needed considerable electrical work and had hired two previous electricians with unsatisfactory results. My husband is an engineer and knows how to do all types of wiring and lighting thus, he is through in his review of work quality We were impressed with Griffin for several reasons: seasoned experience in both commercial and residential, professional demeanor in listening to our concerns, requests and offered good solutions to complicated wiring and issues which arose. We employed their services 5 times during a complete remodel of our kitchen, wiring in various rooms and work on panel. As new residents, we are gratified to have Griffin as a reliable, experienced and professionally courteous vendor.

I highly recommend this company to do any of your electrical work. They made a major job of changing out my whole electrical panel smooth and effortless. They scheduled everything and I had my new panel in, the grounds pounded into the earth and my electricity back on within 8 hours. Super polite & efficient! I can't say enough about them! I was very pleased with these guys. Had a problem on a weekend. dan came out to troubleshoot it on a Sunday. he didn't have the parts, but a tech was back the next day to fix the problem. He fixed it right away and the charges were very reasonable. I recommend Griffin Electric and they are my Go To electrician now!!!

Very Professional, worked efficiently and he worked more quickly than I had expected. Fixed multiple items. On one outlet not working, he showed me how to press the breaker button, which restored it rather than needing to replace it.

I will definitely want to call them again for any future issues.

We needed lighting done in our house. We changed our mind a couple of times based upon the complexity of the job. Griffin Electric was so professional and patient! They wanted to make sure we would be completely happy, and developed a lighting plan for us. When they did the work, it was extremely professional and looked great! They ever cleaned up after the job and the house was spotless. We could not be more delighted. The service was so professional and detail-oriented. Jeff did a great job and gave us amazing ideas to incorporate in our kitchen and living room lighting. We are so happy. It's a bit annoying that they won't ballpark anything over the phone when plenty of other places will and then when they finally do decided that they can give a ball park, the price given is the highest anyone has quoted and they said it can range from that much to double that. Thanks but no thanks, there are tons of other places in the area who are able to work with someone looking for a ball park quote before paying any money up front.
