I hired Green Electric US to replace the knob and tube wiring still present in our 90 year old house. It turned into a bigger project, fixing all the problems Andres discovered that were caused during earlier work to the house. He replaced the main electrical box with a much bigger one, ran many new circuits, and left the house clean every day. He put up with my questions, explaining everything patiently and with lots of technical detail. I've done a fair amount of electrical work in houses I've lived in over the years, but I learned a ton from him, and I have total confidence in his ability to find and solve problems. Also, do not overlook that we have a house that is mostly plaster and lathe, but he and his associate patched every hole expertly (and there were a lot), and in some areas matching texture. That's a huge plus for me, as all we have to do is texture a few places and paint. The house is now safe, upgraded, and everything works like it's supposed to.

Hired Andres to install a 240v outdoor charger for my electric car, and also had him install some outdoor lighting fixtures. All work wwas done quickly, and very professionally. Nice to finally have a good electrician in my rolodex!

I called them when our garage, refrigerator, and lights in the basement area went out. Before coming out he said to check the breakers. I said that I did and turned them all off and on. He said before I come out to inspect something that maybe simple and charge a fee of $85, check any GCFI plugs and reset them. We went through our house and garage area and found a GCFI plug in the garage that has never been used and it fixed the issue.

I am so grateful to an honest company that is not looking at their finances and looking out for the customer. I would highly recommend them for any electrical repair you may have.

Andres did an incredible job for us. He did re-wiring of our a new bathroom and new addition. He was always on time, reliable, and cleaned up after he worked, leaving no clean up work for us!

We selected Green Electric based on reviews and his estimate price and his ability to squeeze us in earlier rather than later. Our job was a simple ceiling fan installation that needed a brace and a new box. They showed up on time, placed blankets though out the house where from the front door to where they were working. They entered the attic and installed the brace to the framing. They cleaned up debris though out the job and were finished in under three hours. Fan has no shaking or wobbling on high speed. So happy with their work. Highly recommend.

Complete re-wire of my 90 year old N. Berkeley home. This 7 week project was finished on time and budget around the new year holidays. Andres demonstrated not just professional competence but flexibility in meeting my requests: 1) agreed not to take on another job, 2) evolved his cleaning and floor protection process, 3) picked up my new fixtures.

Andres had a couple ideas for grouping and / or switching lights that made for a better end result. I appreciated that Green could patch plaster walls without involving a sub-contractor. I am retired and was on-site and involved in details about buying and restoring fixtures and cleaning up most every day. This was a invasive and consuming project and would have been more stressful with a less friendly or inflexible contractor.

This review is totally overdue. Andres upgraded the electrical panel for my house in Berkeley last year. I was moving to the East coast and needed a bunch of the electrical work done to bring my house to a rentable condition before my departure. The timing was tight but I still wanted to talked to several electricians to make sure that I was getting the best quality of work with a reasonable price tag.

Andres' quote was one of the best and his work was excellent. I have worked with some electricians in the past; some of the them did not have the patience--I am pretty handy so it is not like I was clueless--or capacity to explain to you how the system works and some others tended to leave a mess behind them (scratched my floor or poked (with a screwdriver) the asbestos off my fuse box in my bedroom closet and dropped the asbestos everywhere around me while telling me that asbestos was so hazardous that he would not touch the fuse panel until I had someone remove the asbesto. Seriously?! I was still sleeping there and I had to clean up all the asbestos myself after that technician left! Needless to say, that one did not get hired.). Andres was exceptional. Not only did he clean up after, he actually patched up around the new receptacles that he installed. He got everything done in the time frame that I set and passed the city inspection in one go!

Andres also has a very warm personality that it is just such joy being around him. I think subconsciously I was being a bit selfish that I wanted to keep him to myself and have been putting off this review. As Thanksgiving is approaching I was going through the list of things I that was thankful for; I definitely think that meeting Andres was one of the things on my list.

If I ever move back to Berkeley I will definitely use Andres again for any the electrical work that I need in the future.

After giving me an appointment, at the last moment he (Andres) called to reschedule it forcing me to change all my plans for the day!
he then gave me an estimate which was 40% higher than all the other quotes I received.
Horrible.
Fortunately, there are many reliable and honest electricians out there.
I ended up using the services of KR electric in San Ramon I am was extremely happy with their quality and price.

I emailed electricians though Yelp for a job in San Francisco. Andres emailed me right away we scheduled an appointment, and he showed up on time. The problem was actually more serious that I thought, but Andres quickly diagnosed it and fixed it. A year later I called him again for a bigger job, and once again he came through. The job was complex so it took a few hours to complete, and he and his crew were very professional and efficient. I would highly recommend him for any electrical needs, Big or small. His fees are very reasonable.
