Peter is an honest man. He is a man of ethics and caring. He is a high quality craftsman who knows electrical from A-Z. You cannot hire someone better and at a fairer price.

The one pet peeve I have is that when you own a business and someone leaves you a message regarding work, that you return the call at some point.
Now, I am not unreasonable, you don't have to call within an hour. Not even a day. But when it gets to a week......yeah, I have a real problem with that.
I was referred to you by a friend, but I don't think I want someone working on the electrical on my home that can't even return a call?...............Think about it.

I used Green Electrical twice and was happy with service. However, the last two times I called, they never even bothered to call me back. Glad business is so good for them, as they lost one customer.

I should start by saying our condo building is known for it's 30 year old crappy electrical made worse by a previous owner who cheaped out on everything - electrical included, of course.
Called Green Electric and left a message. Peter responded via mobile within 15 minutes and spent quite a bit of time (15+ minutes) speaking with B about our wish to upgrade our lighting to be more energy efficient and well...green. (groan)
We had a strict timeline that needed to be met (someone else fell through, but we won't get into that here) and Peter was on the job 2 days later. Major kudos to him as he worked his schedule to help us get this remodel started.
We also had an ancient fan in our bathroom that made more noise than the airport across the highway. The tricky part Peter helped us deal with was the odd size of the current fan and absolutely no attic space to work within. Peter, of course, came up with a great solution and had obviously dealt with this issue many times before.
Our condo is now up to code (awesome!) and we are fully LED. His quote was a flat fee, and when he ran into problems he was able to still keep that amount.
Would I recommend Peter and Green Electric in whole? You betcha.

I'm remodeling an old home I bought and because of all the electrical demands of modern kitchens and bathrooms I had to upgrade the electrical system. I'm new to this so some guidance on exactly what had to be done was needed. Based on the good Yelp reviews Green Electric had I decided to contact them, among other companies.
Peter responded quickly and came out to check my system and give me his recommendations. He gave me a breakdown of each component that can be upgraded so I can determine what my budget could accommodate: The main panel, the wiring from main panel to sub-panel, the sub-panel itself. I really appreciated this since the remodel is already costing an arm and leg.
Between Green Electric, my contractor, and another reputable company, Peter's bid came out 32% lower than the highest bid I got for the exact same work: Upgrade the main panel (and create a space to accommodate the new panel) and upgrade the wiring between main and sub-panel. Peter got the necessary permit and coordinated with the city and PG&E. Nothing was required on my part, which was a relief considering everything else I need to keep track of.
I would definitely work with Peter and his team again. Even my contractor decided to keep Green Electric in their file for their future projects (to keep their prices competitive, I imagine).

Called Peter based on great Yelp reviews, thought them being local in San Mateo would help. He sent his young employee Sergio (I think was his name). He spent 1 hour (costing me $150) just to let us know that our dryer plug could not be changed from 3-pin to 4-pin due to the connections inside. It's a European dryer. My request for an estimate for the cost of changing the wall-socket instead to fit the plug was ignored by Peter.
Green Electric was a complete waste of money. Realizing the plug could not be changed should have taken 20 minutes tops. We had a great local electrician out who charged us a mere $40 to change the wall-socket and he took 30 minutes total.

We set up an appointment and Peter came out. It's been thirteen days and we have not had a word back. We sensed that he did not like to do underhouse work and this is probably why we have received no estimate nor any attempt to contact us. We also thought his off-the-cuff estimate was very high and the time he told us would be required for this simple job way too long (and with a helper, too!). We would definitely not recommend him to anyone who needed electrical work.

Peter (owner) and his crew are top notch. They did a ton of work for us- grounded outlets, installed outside lights and a fan, moved outlets to more functioning locations, and replaced breakers and labeled them (we had 3 panels in the house and NONE were labeled) as well as other small jobs around the house. Peter and his crew were always on time and never (!) left a mess behind. You can tell Peter takes pride in his work and is dedicated to get it right. Highly, highly recommend.

My grandmother needed a problem fixed with her upstairs list and got Peter's name from her good friend who had used him before. He was able to send out a very knowledgeable and efficient employee named Sergio who arrived 25 later. After a few minutes he had diagnosed the problem and had it fixed a few minutes after that. I would certainly recommend Green Electric.

FANTASTIC JOB, PETER ! Peter talked us through issues with our remodel and made suggestions other electricians we interviewed never thought of. He went beyond answering basic ""voltage"" type questions to consider what fixtures, what placement, would look best in ceiing cans and wall installations. He and his team are professional, quick, and have great customer service. Cleaned up after themselves and respectful of your home space. Highly recommend Green Electric.
