Jeff came out to my house over a year ago to move a light switch. He was kind, friendly, professional, and efficient. I wanted something ridiculous and unreasonable, and he was good at managing my expectations (as in, no, don't bore through a stud just to move a light switch). I highly recommend him and will be calling him for other work in the future.
Shane D.Jeff installed recessed cans and did a great job. Will use again.
Marissa L.We needed an electrician to add 3 electrical outlets in our condo.
Marty at Cool Ray Electric estimated $450 (including parts)
Patriot Electric (HOA used this company) estimated $1000!!!
Jeff at Grayzer quoted $200-300 + parts
In the end, Jeff came out with another worker. The two finished the work in 1.5 hours and the cost was $232.
My only complaint would be it was a little dirty where they had worked, but I can wipe up a little saw dust in exchange for efficient work and good customer service overall.
Jill H.Really, really nice guys. We had to hang a dining room fixture which meant moving a crazy heavy table, rug, etc. Jeff's assistant was even more concerned that I was about getting the rug and table centered again since it's so heavy we knew we wouldn't be able to move it after they left. So nice to find someone reliable and easy to talk to. Will call them again and have already recommended them to two neighbors.
Stormy S.Jeff and his team were great! Had them install a few new ceiling fans in our new home, including one in a room that didn't have a ceiling mount pre-installed. He was great, put down drop clothes in each room to help keep our carpets clean. He worked fast, but took time to make sure that each fan was working well, including not vibrating or swinging around. A great experience, at a fair price. If you need electrical work done, make sure you give Jeff a call!
I thought that my main breaker box might need to be upgraded, which is very expensive to do. Jeff came over check it out and the rest of the electric outlets in my house. Everything was functioning as it was suppose to. He is very honest and extremely fair in his pricing. He takes time to explain what's going on with the electricity and he also answers his phone and returns calls. I will definitely call him for any electrical work I need done in the future.
I can't say enough about Jeff. What a great guy and great electrician! We recently turned an attic space into a spare room. Jeff quoted us a great price and then rerouted all the existing wires and cables that were in the way of construction, then wired the new room for lights, switches, electricity and cable. He was so nice and competent that we had him do additional work in the house like adding some new lights in the other attic, installing a recessed can and switch in a small hallway, and adding a few new outlets around the house. Before he could get away we sent him over to our in-law's house to install a GFI outlet in the bathroom, and add additional cable and cable outlets in a few more rooms in the house. I would definitely work with Jeff again and have already given his name to several neighbors.
Kris U.These guys were great! Jeff and his assistant were very polite and professional. They worked at a fast pace (always good when you're paying by the hour). Their work was efficient and of excellent quality. They carefully handled items and laid down work sheets to protect my wood flooring below where they were installing a ceiling fan. Jeff seemed like a perfectionist and I appreciate that character trait in my electrician. I highly recommend Grayzer Electric.
John M.I have used several electricians around Austin and Jeff is in a class by himself. Super reliable, always on time and fair rates all add up to an excellent experience. I have interfaced with several of his employees as well and they are professional and courteous. Easily five stars - it is doubtful that you can do better in Austin.
at first i was a little scared because i thought there was no way an electrician could get all 5 star rating on Yelp. I called and they said they were pretty busy and the next appointment was 5 days away. It made me feel a little better, and all of my worries were gone when they showed up.
On my initial call, they gave me a preliminary quote after telling them what i needed. It really surprised me when they gave me a real quote in person that matched exactly what i was told earlier. I had gotten several other quotes and Grayzer was significantly less expensive. Also, they didn't find any reason to up their quote when in person. It seemed every other company explained why they thought it would cost more than normal to get the job done. Also, because it was a smaller job, they could do it on the spot after giving the quote.
Jeff was the electrician that did the work. He showed up on time and with a smile on his face. He did an excellent job. When everything was done, his assistant said he would be right back with the invoice and broom to clean up. I told him it wasn't necessary to sweep up because i was doing work as well and i couldn't tell the difference between his sawdust and mine. He came back a few minutes later saying his boss told him it was company policy to clean up all messes. This shows they really have pride in their work. They also wiped down all of the outlets after installing them.
They are not just the best electricians ive ever had, they are the best company i've ever paid to do work.
Five stars really isn't good enough because they are way better than any company you could find. I asked for extra business cards just in case i ever run into somebody that needs an electrician. I'll be more than willing to pass his cards out.
