I have used several electricians around Austin and Jeff is in a class by himself. Super reliable, always on time and fair rates all add up to an excellent experience. I have interfaced with several of his employees as well and they are professional and courteous. Easily five stars - it is doubtful that you can do better in Austin.

at first i was a little scared because i thought there was no way an electrician could get all 5 star rating on Yelp. I called and they said they were pretty busy and the next appointment was 5 days away. It made me feel a little better, and all of my worries were gone when they showed up.
On my initial call, they gave me a preliminary quote after telling them what i needed. It really surprised me when they gave me a real quote in person that matched exactly what i was told earlier. I had gotten several other quotes and Grayzer was significantly less expensive. Also, they didn't find any reason to up their quote when in person. It seemed every other company explained why they thought it would cost more than normal to get the job done. Also, because it was a smaller job, they could do it on the spot after giving the quote.
Jeff was the electrician that did the work. He showed up on time and with a smile on his face. He did an excellent job. When everything was done, his assistant said he would be right back with the invoice and broom to clean up. I told him it wasn't necessary to sweep up because i was doing work as well and i couldn't tell the difference between his sawdust and mine. He came back a few minutes later saying his boss told him it was company policy to clean up all messes. This shows they really have pride in their work. They also wiped down all of the outlets after installing them.
They are not just the best electricians ive ever had, they are the best company i've ever paid to do work.
Five stars really isn't good enough because they are way better than any company you could find. I asked for extra business cards just in case i ever run into somebody that needs an electrician. I'll be more than willing to pass his cards out.

I agree with all of the great reviews for Jeff. He was on time and thorough about all our electric problems. We needed some outlets replaced as well as new breakers and he was done in under an hour and very reasonable. I would definitely use him again and would recommend to anyone. He took a couple of business calls during the job but did not include that time in the bill, a practice I have seen lesser contractors do frequently. Grayzer Electric will be the first company I call the next time I need electrical work. For those of you out there who may have gender roles reversed, Jeff at Grayzer explained everything to my wife without being condescending, which she and I both greatly appreciated. She knows everything about maintenance and repair and has been irritated more than once at contractors who look at me and explain their work when she's the one who wants to know and it is usually her that asked the question in the first place. Thanks again to Jeff and please give him a call if you need any electrical fixes.

Jeff has done a great job with my house in south austin and our new business HandleBar in downtown austin. If you need proof, come check out his work. I have, and will continue to recommend Jeff to everyone for anything electrical.

Can't say enough good things about Jeff and Grayzer Electric. He was sharp, honest, on-time, great with communication, and a perfect electrician.
We called him with a two-year-long list of fixes and improvements we wanted to make to our home. He came out, gave an easy estimate while understanding each item thoroughly.
Then, two days before he was scheduled to come make all the repairs, we had to go to the hospital for several days. Jeff didn't bat an eye, figured out a way to make it all work, and took care of everything with no one really home to check in with.
Everything went perfectly, especially impressive given the extenuating circumstances.
If you need an electrician and don't want all the traditional run-around, call Jeff.

I called them up and Jeff could not have been better. He quoted me a much better price than the other 2 companies I called and could come out when I needed.
I just needed a simple GFCI outlet installed in my bathroom. He came out and did the work quickly, took less than an hour. He ran into one slight problem when he was cutting out the drywall for the outlet. The first hole was right in front of some pipe, so he had to move a few inches. He patched up the original hole he made and even gave me a discount before I could complain about the problem. That was greatly appreciated, even though I probably wouldn't have cared enough to complain. He also made sure to clean up his mess, you couldn't even tell he was there.
I was very pleased and would highly recommend Grayzer and would gladly call Jeff for my next project. :-)

Needed a job done really fast at my bar and they were able to do it the next day for very reasonable rates. Will be using them again if needed. Highly recommended for your commercial needs!

Called Jeff and he happened to be in the area. He removed an old cook top and installed a new one. Good price, good work. I will use him again.

Jeff was a referral and I gave him a shot to fix another electricians mistake on a commercial project. He was easy to work with and knew what he was doing. After a good experience with him on the first job, I gave him his own new project on another commercial job. He was much better than expected. I'm not saying I did not think he would be as good as he was but I am a ""Prove It"" type of guy and let me tell you he did; actually blew me out of the water.
His bid was very cost effective and the work was impeccable. He was clean and the appearance on the install was almost a work of art. Any and all bends, conduit, etc. looks like it was pre-fabed and not performed on site.
So, now I had residential job at my own house and he got it. My wife (is a serial re-modeler) liked our previous electrician but Jeff is cleaner, nicer, and less expensive. This is not a get what you pay for, believe me. I have worked with so many different trades. I would still use our other electrician, IF Jeff was not available but Grayzer is head and shoulders above all others.
I do not recommend or vouch unless it is earned. Going against my wife's choice was not a risk because I received better work for a lower cost. He is ten times better than the ""Corporate"" trades and fraction of the cost plus I do not have to hope if he will show up on time or even cares about ""just getting hours in"". He is punctual, does a great job, and he cares. Reasonable price is just a bonus.
I've had so many people ask me for trade recommendations and they always come back to me whether they use my recommendation or not. They come back and say one of two things 1.) they used the guy I recommended and could not be happier or 2.) they used someone else and wished they used the guy I recommended.
Like I said, I'm a prove it type of guy and Grayzer is now my electrician of choice.
Follow Up 10/21/2011- Once again, Grayzer has come through. We had some changes and the some small stuff needed to be moved around and installed. Jeff was able to come out quickly and do what we needed. The great thing was he did not make you feel like you were putting him out. It like he actually enjoys his job which you can really tell.

I found Jeff on Yelp. His reviews were great. He just left my house And I have nothing but good things to say about Grayzer Electric. After trying to get some of the big name electrical companies to come give me a quote for two days, I became impatient. I crawled into my attic to run a cable and ended up accidentally cutting through a power line. Now I had to call an electrician.
My son reminded me to use Yelp and I'm glad I did. Jeff worked quickly. He charged me a fair price. He repaired my mistake and ran the cable for me. I will use him from now on for all my electric needs.
