With more than 12 years in the electrical trade, I hold a journeyman electrician and contractor license in Hawaii. From the start, I managed large project segments effectively, confirming my passion for electrical work. It brings me joy to share my electrical expertise with our community.
I launched my career in the electrical field in 2010. I had the chance to work with ten different electrical companies across Oahu before establishing my own. This experience allowed me to acquire a broad skill set and knowledge base.
I have worked on various projects, including the Waikiki International Market Place, A’ali’i condominium, Wholefoods Ward, Central Ala Moana, and Sky Ala Moana.

Happy with the service provided. Johnny came in and immediately identified our issues with the wall switch and fan remote. Very fast and efficient. Exactly as quoted.
James G.Not enough stars to fairly rate him. Johny Le (the owner himself) came out on a Saturday to install (6) indoor fans and (1) outdoor fan in our home. He started 30 mins early and finished in under (5) hours. An absolute professional and a subject matter expert in his field. You'll get nothing less, but the best from this young man. I highly recommend him for all your electrical needs. I couldn't be happier on the work he accomplished for us. Feeling really COOL in Royal Kunia!!! Jim & Joan
Roger A.Sent these guys a request for quote for a new outlet along with some photos and my basic understanding of what needed to happen. They quoted a reasonable price, got it scheduled quickly, and got the task done. Communication was smooth andI can't complain about anything.
Malia M.I needed two outlets fixed. Priced around and found Grand Hawaii Electric. They are reasonably priced and will give you a flat fee which I really appreciate since most companies charge by hour plus other types of BS fees. Quick with responding to messages and has excellent customer service.
The outlets were fixed in a timely manner and the gentlemen (whos name I forget, sorry) even told my dad what he could do if the outlet popped out of the wall again, which I felt was really nice. We have a few other outlets that need to be changed in the future and will definitely be using them again!
Jbrary P.Very fast response with a reasonable price estimate. Johny even came earlier than expected, but that was great since it was the time had originally asked for. Switched out our rocker switch to toggle. Did the job super fast and efficiently. And also sent receipt within minutes of leaving. Great service and reasonable pricing! Mahalo!
I hate to write a bad review but the service with Grand Hawai'i Electronic was no good. The guy who quoted me a price is patient and nice - he answered all my questions and sounded reliable. However, the technician is not professional at all. First of all, the technician came without a face mask even though their amenities show ""masks are required"" and ""wears mask"" on yelp. I asked if he could put on a face mask. He said he has not been wearing a mask for a while. I understand masks are not mandated anymore, but if you advertise them, then you are supposed to do it. If not, then it's misleading.
After entering my unit, the technician did the troubleshooting of the outlets and breakers and told me one breaker needs to be replaced. I asked if it could be a wiring issue. He insisted it was the break, not the wire. I asked him to double-check. He then turned the breaker on and off and checked the voltage. One outlet showed 30 or 32 volts while it is supposed to be 120 volts. This time he said it could be a wiring issue but still insisted that the breaker was the main issue. I asked if he could take out the dishwasher and check the wire. I asked this because there was a water leaking issue around the area. The plumber might have cut the wire or something when working on the leaking. He refused.
Grand Hawai'i Electronic gave me two price quotes - one for breaker replacement and one for wire replacement. Since they charge by project, not hours, I did not want to get charged for the wire replacement after he replaces the breaker and finds out the breaker is not the issue. All I wanted the technician to do was to check if it's a breaker or wiring issue by taking out the dishwasher. Pulling out the dishwasher is not challenging at all - I saw the plumber did it within 1-2 minutes. Unfortunately, he refused my request, said ""not do your business"", and left.
Visiting from the mainland this past March, our elderly Auntie who lives in Liliha, needed an electrician so we went on Yelp to look for one. Out of several inquiries, Johny was the only one who responded immediately. He came on a Sunday and gave us a quote. He wore his mask and answered all our questions patiently and respectively and seemed genuinely helpful. His quote also was reasonable. So after a few days we set up a work order to install 3 ceiling fans and 2 light fixtures. Unfortunately we had to return to the mainland before this work could be done. Today 4/6, Johny came to do the work. After several hours, our Aunt called us and told us she was very pleased with Johnny's work. She said that he was on time, kept his work area clean, patiently explained how to use the remotes, as well as changing the light bulbs, took away the old fixtures, and gave Auntie a senior's discount. Auntie said that Johny was very nice and respectful and she hopes she will be able to use him for future projects. As for us, it's reassuring to know that Auntie was not taken advantage of, or was unhappy with the work. We're glad that we now have found a reliable and proficient electrician to help our Hawaii family with electrical projects.
Mahalo Johny for taking care of our Auntie!
Johny did a great job moving my fan to a new location in the house, going so far as jumping into the tight attic space and crawling around to get the wire thru. And he installed a few new outlets just as I had asked. Excellent work, timely, and professional.
Johnny was excellent. Installed two outlets for me. Very responsive and professional. Would definitely recommend him for any electrical needs.
Karen B.Thank you to a Johny for great and efficient service. I appreciate professionals that arrive on time and confidently know what to do. Johny changed out some old switches and repaired 2 faulty outlets for a unit. They were old. I don't have to worry anymore. Thank you!
