Same-day appointment, actually came slightly before the hour window (which was fine, we were here), worked quickly (turned out to be an easy fix), and the workmen were very polite and professional. Would call them again in a heartbeat.

Hector from Got Light Electric in Torrance responded promptly to my call to install 2 new ceiling boxes from which I intend to hang pendant lamps at a later date. He arrived on time, clean and with the tools and supplies necessary to do the work. He progressed quickly and efficiently with no unnecessary holes or mess. (The painters were also on site wanting to mask that room for a new coat of color so having the work proceed smoothly was important.)

As far as demeanor and decorum, there was no music or unnecessary noise or goofing around. I would feel comfortable having Hector work in my mother's home if that is an indication of comfort.

THE PROECT: With no attic space overhead all work was done from a ladder. The Romex was in the ceiling somewhere but the drywall covered up the loose tail -- no box had been installed when the house was built. So the job grew to installing 3 boxes on fan hangars. And since LED is taking over as the price comes down he changed a Lutron rocker-style switch to a slide dimmer that is rated for incandescents, fluorescents and LEDs. He also changed another dimmer so I would be able to make the switch to LEDs seamlessly.

IN CONCLUSION: The price I felt was fair and reasonable. I expect to call Got Light Electric when switching over to LEDs for all the recessed ceiling fixtures -- I feel that comfortable.

We recently had issues with burned out wiring in a few of our kitchen outlets.

I called a couple of companies and most were booked well in advance, however luckily I ran across Got Light.

They were able to schedule me the day of the problem and showed up on time as expected. The technician Hector arrived, did a quick inspection and was able to identify the issue right away. He was clear and concise and did not try to oversell any additional services or materials.

He was able to fix the wiring on 3 outlets within an hour, and that includes a trip to the local Home Depot to pick up materials.

He was quiet and did an excellent job, he even cleaned up after himself.

On top of it all, the charges were about 1/2 what I had been quoted at another place. So it was a win/win , excellent quality service at an excellent rate. I will look to GotLight for any future electrical needs and would highly recommend the same to you.

Woke up on a Saturday morning to half our home being out of power. Switch box was old and wouldn't reset so I called several electricians from Yelp only to get voicemails and even a place that said ""We're booked until mid 2016""!

Called Got Light and Hector showed up quick. When he arrived, he walked straight to our switch box, did some quick tests, and immediately advised me of the problem answering all of my questions with a smile. Within minutes he swapped out 2 switches and even upgraded our rusty, hodge-podge bolts and missing bolts holding the switch box together. Now, we have 2 shiny new switches with premium bolts that sparkle and weeks later still no power issues!

I was so impressed I asked for a quote for a much-needed recessed light installation and again, the finished work was flawless. Would recommend this company to everyone!

Hector is the best! We had a major emergency situation one morning at work due to a short the rain caused the night before and Hector was THE ONLY electrician in the area who came as soon as we called. Our call did NOT go to voicemail and we didn't have to deal with an answering service either. Hector and his staff were there within the hour and repaired the short without incident.
