We recently hired Goodwin Electric to do a number of repairs at our home. The biggest job was the replacement of halogen bulbs in our den. One of the lamps had overheated and started a fire. The job was complicated as it involved cutting larger holes in our built in bookcases to accommodate the new, safer bulbs. J.R. did an AMAZING job! He accomplished the task confidently and skillfully, demonstrating that his carpentry skills equaled his electrical expertise. I liked his demeanor and appreciated that in addition to completing all tasks to our satisfaction, he also cleaned up when done! I would enthusiastically recommend Goodwin Electric!

Goodwin electric installed a couple of LED lights in our garage two years ago. One of the lights just stopped working. They came back to fix the problem, apparently when it was installed the connection was not done properly. It took about 10 minutes to correct the connection and now the light works. I was charged $199.00 for ten minutes of work that was most likely caused by the installer. I don't think you want to call Goodwin electric for their services. Stay away from Goodwin Electric.

STAY AWAY FROM GOODWIN ELECTRIC!!! We had an emergency at one of our rental homes and called them, never having used them before. The repair work was priced quite high, but not knowing much about electric, I hired them. A few moths later we need a gfi outlet replaced and two lights replaced. They charged us triple the cost of what other electrician charged come to find out. We never got a bill, just a phone call for a credit card. When we questioned the cost and asked for a bill, we were given the run around. We asked for receipts for the lights as the price for each was ten times what home depot charges for a similar light. They would not give us receipts for the lights, and we refused to pay until we got all the receipts/paperwork. Next day, the tenants at the home had their car tires slashed! Have owned the home for 15 years never happened before. I am sure the tech did it late the evening. Two days later they went to the court and got a mechanic's lien on both homes and added $3000.00 to the bill! Mind you the bill was $800.00, prior to adding $3000.00

We found Goodwin Electric on Google and must say we were VERY IMPRESSED. The tech came out to my house in Naples that my mom lives in and was so kind and helpful to her, completing two difficult installations with perfect results. First project was replacing rope lighting in tray ceiling and add dimmer light - tech cleaned up vacuumed and completed the task perfectly. Second task was replace conventional doorbell with Ring high tech video doorbell - tech was knowledgeable and even uploaded wifi and app for my mom and showed her proper sensitivity of motion detector and ensured everything worked before he left site. Perfect service AND very reasonable price - out the door parts and time all for a very fair and competitive price. Very impressed with communication, punctuality and service from this company. ONE OF THE BEST!! Thank you!

After using this business, I have to say I was pretty surprised to see a one star review. So I checked that reviewers other posts and noticed they were all rated 1 star. I don't know what he's trying to accomplish on Yelp but it's really annoying when serial reviewers troll sites like this and make it unreliable for us. This business has been in business over 20 years and has 5 star reviews everywhere else, so I find that review highly suspect. Anyway, I thought Goodwin Electric was extremely professional, fairly priced, on time and I highly recommend. I'm glad I chose this company by word of mouth and not by that review.

I called up and spoke with an ""electrician"" to get dome ligjts installed. The joker quoted me $15,000.00. This place is a ripoff that you hear on the news that price gouges. Look else where
