I was visiting my partner's family in Bakersfield (specifically Shafter) on a rainy Saturday. It's about 20 minutes to the nearest Supercharger, which is really inconvenient because you waste quite a bit of charge getting there and back.

So finding an electrician to install a wall charger for my Model 3 at their house during a short visit has been on our to-do list for a year. I ordered a Tesla wall charger and had it shipped to their house a month before this weekend. We looked for several electricians before finding one through her cousin. But they were scheduled for Sunday afternoon, which wouldn't allow us to charge on this trip because we were heading back up north right around that time.

I finally found an electrician who was responsive and able to come by within a couple hours. That would be Ed Gonzalez of Gonzalez Electric. He introduced himself and after we discussed the scope of the work and what was needed, he gave a reasonable quote. We needed a 50 or 60 amp breaker for the 48 amps needed for maximum charging capability available to consumers. He showed us the exact 50 amp breaker part that would be installed.

Ed was very professional and clear in communicating the work he was performing. Highly recommend him for his electrical work.
