Goldstar Electric became an official entity in 2017, however the owner, John Cavnar, has maintained his master electrician license for 17 years and has been an electrician for over 25 years. We are a family-owned and operated business.

Goldstar Electric, Inc. is owned by John and Ana. John's father was an electrician and John has been an electrician since he was 16. At 20, he earned his journeyman's license and achieved his State of Florida Master's Electrician license 8 years later. Frustrated with big companies overcharging due to overhead, we decided to start and keep our business small to provide affordable pricing.

Goldstar Electric is contracted with one of the poorest developers DR. Horton. While under my one year warranty the lights in the toilet room would flicker constantly. I have called them out to address the issue. Not sure what was however the lights would stop flickering for a short while and then start again. Needless to say the issue with the light flicker has again started. So I called the office to inquire as to what may be the cause. Before taking the initiative to look back at the records or anything VERY RUDE PAULA AND ANNA this morning took no efforts to assist me. Instead took the position that I was looking for services for free. Never even taking a chance to see what could have been reported as the cause in the first place, the first thing Paula said to me was to change the bulb; well was that the problem in the first place? If it was, why wasn't I made aware that the issue is with the bulb in the first place. People do not realize that the horrible attitude can bleed off and it has.
It's disgusting and discouraging to know that while they were getting paid by Dr. Horton; they were pleasant, now because you are no longer under warranty they provide POOR Service. Up until now I have no idea why the lights are flickering in my bathroom.
I do not like putting reviews online whether good or bad but this was needed. IF I could show my head in flames I would. The rude attitude was not called for and it is very appalling. Like all of the other shotty work provided by DR. Horton I am over it. I would not recommend them Goldstar Electric or Dr. Horton.

I'm very disappointed! We had some electrical issues and noticed one of the circuit breakers were sparking immediately i started searching online to find a professional and i found Goldstar Electric. They came out and told me i need to get my whole panel changed and it will be a big job i was lucky i caught it early and my house didn't burn down! I was told someone from office will call or email me an estimate and schedule the work soon as possible as this was an emergency. I waited 24hrs no one has reached out I had to call multiple times to ask when can we get started because the worker left me with only half the house getting power i was terrified as he told me do not turn anything on do not use stove, wash machine, dryer even the AC because it is a hazard! After 24 hrs of waiting i call again when the lady over the phone tells me they will pass and do not want to do the job, i was in shock first they say they would love to do it and help then they leave me here like this waiting then just like that turn me away for no reason! The business's job description lists the jobs they do , it states panel change and new wiring ect... so then what's the matter this is what you guys do i guess they did not feel like working , the job was too big for them and did not want the money! I called another big company they were very happy to help me and gave me a quote on the spot which i excepted, too bad another competitor got the job who were nice enough to help me in this emergency and not leave me high and dry scared that my house can possibly go into flames.

Wow! Definitely stay away from this company. John came 50 minutes late and was ill-prepared. Then Anna called hours later and left a nasty voicemail that has no regard to me about missing an appointment that evening. Potential clients beware!

Just recently moved into a new home. Spoke with Anna about hanging a chandelier. She advised of her earliest appointment and pricing. They were much cheaper than anyone else. She then called and wanted to know if I wanted an earlier appointment because she had received a cancellation...which a happily hopped on. True to their word, they were there on time. Took about 1/2 hour. Service was impeccable!!!!
