John M. Onorato is the Master Electrician and Owner of Go Electric.
His family's involvement in electrical work, particularly his father and two uncles, motivated John to begin his career early.
John A. Onorato, his father, worked as an electrician in the US Marine Corps and started ""Johnnies Electric"" in the 1960s.
Following his service in the US Army, John came back to Houston in 1992 and gained experience with several large electrical firms.
John attended various colleges and technical schools at night over a period of 4 years until he passed the Houston Master Electrician Exam in 1998.
At that time, the Houston Master Electrician Exam was viewed as one of the toughest in the nation, taking nine hours to complete.
He was among the youngest to achieve Master Electrician status in Houston.
Go Electric was started by John in 2001.
Currently, Go Electric operates under the same principles that John learned while working for various successful firms.
