Glover Electric replaced my electrical service panel in January 2019. The installation was well done but the panel was not properly reconnected to my automatic transfer switch which permitted a backup generator to power the house when PGE power went out. The transfer switch was stuck on backup generator and would not reconnect to PGE when their power was on. Glover came back out and did a hard-wire bypass of the automatic transfer switch to PGE thereby rendering useless the backup generator. I thereafter attempted to contact Glover to fix the automatic transfer switch with no success. Glover eventually came to my house, took a few pictures and left. The next day he informed me (after I called him) that the transfer switch was improperly installed and it would cost $6495 for him to fix it. I declined his offer and shortly thereafter found Alternative Power and Electric in Boulder Creek who fixed the automatic transfer switch for $500.

I was very impressed with the knowledge and service Dave, James, and RJ provided. We had issues with a electric dryer that the appliance company refused to accept responsibility for. GLO completed a detailed inspection and found the root of the problem to be ground wire in the dryer. They also did several odd electrical jobs that were on my to do list. Great job guys. David went above and beyond in helping us with our Guest House New Build project. Work involved upgrading existing Electrical Panel, Coordinating with PG&E to upgrade service to 200 Amp, and planning out and designing electrical service for the Guest house. He is very knowledgeable, honest and professional and I highly recommend his services. If you are planning on starting a ADU project or a Home extensioddition, I would recommend getting David onboard very early on in the process for guidance with Electrical work! Thank you David!

I wish I could leave a good review, but I can't. I called Glo to get a repair on a melted 240 outlet for my EV charger in my garage. I gave Dave photos and a detailed description of the issue. He told me he couldn't give me an estimate and that they don't have hourly rates but charge by the job, but his rates were ""competitive."" He told me a tech would be at my place before 2pm.

I sent him a text after 2pm telling him the tech wasn't there yet. He told me I was next. At about 4:30 the tech (Dave's early-20s son) showed up. He looked at the outlet, took the cover off the EVSE and told me it would be $600 to fix. This seemed high, so I told them I'd have to get a competing bid. The tech left, forgetting to put the cover back on the EVSE and taking the screws with him.

The competing bid was from the very skilled tech for SESCO electric: $185. And that tech noted a serious safety issue Dave's kid missed.

Competitive rates? With whom, Dave? A divorce attorney? One star off for disrespecting me by wasting 4 hours of my day, one star off for tripling the price of the job, one star off for missing the safety issue, and one star off for leaving my EVSE disassembled and losing the screws. If only I could leave a negative star for not offering any kind of apology or explanation.

We had our electrical panel replaced with Glo Electric and received excellent workmanship and amazing customer service. Despite the last minute, same day request, James came to us on time and finished the job professionally. The job he delivered was neat, fast and impressively done. I would definitely call GLO electric again for our next job and would recommend them to anyone.

After having some other company calling them self the Best in business came to my house and couldn't figure out what was wrong with my heater/air conditioner. David was able to help me fix the issue.
