We are a local electrical contracting firm familiar with numerous elements of the installation and design of electrical systems. We handle everything from custom home wiring to small commercial builds. We focus on building personal relationships with our clients. We provide services such as replacing panels, and installing interior and exterior lighting whether it’s replacements, additions, or repairs. Common requests from our clients include adding landscape lighting, replacing kitchen fluorescent fixtures with recessed lighting, creating a circuit for a pool heater, replacing switches and receptacles across the home, or fixing a problematic circuit.
Our company’s history traces back to John Glavin. For nearly twenty years, he has served the Hilton Head area. His knowledge stems from collaborating with major electrical firms such as Turner Electrical and top builders like Bay 10 Ventures. As the lead electrician on projects like the Tide Pointe and Key Infinity Dealership. Working with these companies has taught John many aspects of the trade from talented electricians, whom he respects. He is a licensed Master Electrician in South Carolina.

Joe G.Hired John Glavin to wire my garage. Paid him a deposit and he started the job. All seemed well at that point. That is until he needed more money for ""supplies"" and demanded to be paid 3/4 of the total cost which I did pay. He never returned to finish the job. At first he would take my calls and would promise to come out and finish ""tomorrow"". Tomorrow never came. From there all of my calls went to voicemail. I ended up hiring another electrician to finish the job John started. I ended up having to undo a TON of work that John did, it ended up putting me back an extra $2000. John Glavin is a thief.
Russ M.Buyer Beware! Do NOT hire Glavin Electrical! Called John for an electrical job asked for $200.00 deposit. Last I heard from this guy. Tried calling to schedule. Went directly to voicemail. I am writing this review to prevent any others from making my mistake.

John Glavin at John Glavin's Electrical made a commitment to stand by his work and returned after I spent about $2000 for work at my home. months later he returned because of a problem that he promised to fix. After 2 failed appointments John Glavin reneged because he had to spend a few bucks on the cure and changed his mind. Then the insults and foul language began, he blamed the insults on lack of sleep. My home was for sale at the time and have to take the house off the market and pay to fix the problem myself. Unethical business man, untrustworthy and unreliable.

Larry T.John Glavin is a dishonest businessman. We paid him to do a job a year ago and he has not completed the work even after several phone calls. He continually says he will do the work or will not return the phone calls. We have given up on him even though he has been fully paid for the work for a year. Anyone who does business with Glavin Electric is asking to be swindled.
