I needed work done in Oakland and Gills sent Savannah Harper. She was efficient, seamless and prepared. We added a receptacle in the ceiling above the ceiling tile and she knocked this out in an hour.

She was kind, quick and did a great job.

I was happy with the result dealing with Gills.

This is my first yelp review, but I just had to let you know how satisfied we are with the light fixture that was installed. We called Gill's who sent Savannah out to our house after another electrician from another electrical company tried to do this job. He was unable to do the job saying that it was too difficult. We were quite impressed with how Savannah successful completed the job without a problem. She is a professional who made sure the job was done safely and efficiently. We will certainly ask for Savannah again for future electrical work.

This may be worst contractor I have experienced in the Bay Area. (and I have used a lot of service providers) Not only was my project partially done (2 of 6 items we needed) but when I called three times to get it rescheduled was referred to a unprofessional manager who decided she didn't like my questions as to when and how we might finish the work -- and said if you don't like it then we don't need or want your business... Okay! I can make that happen --- I now have a great new resource who got my job done ...take care using these guys...

I'm doing this review for my friend in Piedmont: His house almost caught fire in February of this year and called Gill's. They came out, patched up so that it would be safe for the time being. Then, goes the long gruesome turn around with applying for permits to update and comply with new coding. It finally all happened on Wed 7/27/2016, they came before 8 a.m. and Mr. Mel Sabbagh supervised the whole day long ordeal that lasted well into the night (they gave him partial electricity Wed night) and then did final hookups and checking into Thursday night. Mr. Sabbagh was very thorough, and informed my friend throughout the whole long process of what he was doing and kept updating my friend so that he was in the loop. Mr. Sabbagh is very professional and pleasant to work with. My friend gave him 6 stars!

Our tenant had a faulty circuit breaker for their unit on a Sunday night, and Gill's Electric's after hours staff was awesome in giving us a run down of our options. We ended up scheduling for the next morning. Mel Sabbagh showed up and fixed the breaker quickly and efficiently. Super friendly guy too! Highly recommend!

Scheduled appointment for 8:30 this morning for small job to convert existing compact fluorescent fixtures to LED's.
Electrician did not show up.
No one from Gill's called to notify or re schedule.
I left 3 messages and none of my phone calls was returned.
Finally reached somebody on the 4th try and they said that there was a scheduling mix up.

Lovely helpful people!! We had an emergency electrical problem after our landlord tried to fix it himself, and Savannah Harper came to our rescue at 9:30 on a Tuesday night. Friendly and made sure to explain what she was doing to those of us who had no idea what was happening, haha. If we have any other electrical problems, I will be calling her up!
