We have used Giles multiple times and I won't do it again. The company's secretary is rude and unprofessional. Seems every time we book it's like they are doing us a favor rather than providing a service. Perhaps an answering service could do this better. 4 calls today to only get upset. Done!
We wanted to add to this review and share an update. We had a second company explain and show us what Giles (actually) did for us. Here is the full story... There was a circuit that was out in the old panel and Giles came out before Master's Electric who we also won't recommend (they replaced the panel). Giles sent out an inexperienced kid (actually two) and they went crawling under the building. They were looking for electrical crossovers which are under these manufactured homes. The two kids said they found them and fixed them but that is not true. They cut a half dozen holes in the building's insulation and weather barrier. They left all this exposed and animals/nature is getting into our sealed building. Worse, the kid never did find those crossovers and test them as he claimed. He ran a jumper wire from the existing old panel to a new spot and back fed the current which may someday burn the building to the ground should the actual problem ever be found or accidentally restored. Very bad and potentially dangerous life-ending business they did! We are seeking their insurance for any and all damages to our property and want a call from the guy that holds the license for this business. This type of stuff cannot go unchecked or left this way.

Giles Electric in South Daytona tacked on a $50 ""trip Charge"" to my one hour service call. I called the Service Manager who was not empathetic. I am in South Daytona as is Giles Electric. I know that the van does not necessarily come from their South Daytona facility to my home, but it is probably no more than a few miles from the last service call. When I said I will not be using Giles again, he replied ""I'm sorry to hear that."" $50 is probably an entire gas fill up (or less) for the entire day.
I have been impressed by the majority of Patriotic businesses and patriotic craftsmen who have not levied additional expense that reflects charging for gas. All Americans are paying more and we all seem to feel that we are in this together. It is a small price to pay for ending Putin's war against Ukraine. However, it was just too good to be true. I received a bill from my favorite electrician, this morning. On it, in huge bold letters, an added charge. I called to question. I was right. If every business owner decided to take advantage of the price at the pump, we would have terrible inflation. It is not even a charge based on milage, so it you live down the street from this business, you pay as much as the person who lives 20 miles away. I called and told them I would never do business with them again. I am so disappointed in Gilles Electric.

Although I believe they are a bit overpriced I will say that the job was completed on time and no money was required upfront. The complete job was started and finished at which time we received our invoice for services rendered and of course paid set them out.
I have always heard good things about this company and from our experience I agree 100%

Excellent and accommodating to customer's schedule to get the job completed on time. You pay for what you get! Staff is responsive and employees clean up their mess.
