In high school, I studied residential wiring and general automotive repair. I was awarded first place in the Residential Wiring and General Automotive Knowledge contest for Florida in 1992, organized by the Vocational Industrial Clubs of America (VICA). In 1997, I came back to VICA to judge the electrical and automotive competitions. I maintained an ASE Master Technician Certification in automotive for six years and earned Yamaha Outboard Engines certifications for engines up to 250HP.

I then spent seven years with a petroleum additives company, BG Products Inc. (BG), where I quickly became the seventh highest producer among 1,100 salespeople nationwide. At BG, I received training in all petroleum products.

I currently take pride in serving as the company President!

I think they are too big for their own good

installed a 33kw generator 2 years a go
had it serviced annually
after the last service in June we start having issues
they came out and fixed it
apparently it wasn't such a success because we are having trouble again

called and scheduled for them to come in 30 days(had no avail before)
they called 2 days before asking for payment and trying to say i never schedule an appointment

why would I call a month earlier if not to get
they didnt care
spoke to customer service
she promised to keep the original date

In June 2022, my husband was diagnosed with a pulmonary embolism as a result of cancer. He became oxygen dependent. Trying to get a generator installed required jumping through hoops. Rob Ahlers, Sales Manager, saved the day, for which I'm very grateful. Our generator was installed in September 2022, the peak of hurricane season.

I had the preventive maintenance (PM) service done in September 2023. In mid-October, 2024, the PM reminder light came on. I called on October 29 to schedule the PM and was told I would be contacted within 72 hours to schedule PM. No one contacted me. November 5, I used their website contact form to request a PM. Today is November 11 and still no contact. VERY FRUSTRATING! GenerX is a huge company and apparently can't handle their volume. Look someplace else. The Warranty isn't worth the paper it's written on if you can schedule a PM in order to maintain the warranty!!!!! I'm furious!

Considering gasoline supply issues and parts issues , they came to my home and fixed my Home generator promptly and professionally.
I could not be happier with this company, when I needed them they responded, despite the many obstacles that Milton created.

Do not trust GenerX. They leave you with a broken product. Zero follow up and zero concern.
I purchased an Generac 7210-1 from Generx in June of 2022. It worked for one power outage in 2022. It received all recommended maintenance. It did not work for Milton. I paid Generx for an emergency service with no update for over 24 hours. Peoples Gas came out and confirmed there was natural gas flowing to the generator. They also advised me that the generator was installed improperly.
I pursued help through every channel available to me for my family. The owner of the company, Mark, canceled my service call leaving him with approx. $14,000 of my money and me with no power and a broken generator. Shockingly bad customer service.

Generator installation went well. In the 4 years we've had it, we've needed 2 service calls including electrical and battery.

I'm especially disappointed in their administrative office which cannot seem to account for their billing. I've requested the detailed invoice, left about 7 messages and haven't heard anything.

I called for generator service on my Generac and was told by the girl on the phone there was a cancelation and they would possibly be able to get me in within a few days, but she had to check with her manager. Then the manager got on the phone and said they would charge me the emergency rate for the appointment that had been cancelled by someone else. I said it was not an emergency and I was booked for a later appointment.
On the day of my appointment, Dave showed up and looked at my generator. I was nice enough to take the cover off in order to save him time. He turned off the power to my house that is hooked in through the generator while trouble shooting. Then, without saying anything, he just left. It was around noon time, so I figured he was just going to lunch. When he didn't show back up after some time, I called him and asked him where he was. He said he was done and would email me the invoice. He left the cover off the generator and left the power off to the house at the breaker panel. He told me the part the generator needed and that it would take some time to get the part since it was not in stock at their warehouse. I told him I would look to see if I could find one and to hold off. This was done via text message to him. He called me about a week later and told me he was on the way to my house to install the new part, to which I reminded him and referred to the text message I had sent, that I had ordered the part. He had not made any previous appointment with me to install the new part.
I was able to order the new part, to which I likely saved a 20% markup, but I also was able to get a 10% veteran's discount by ordering the part myself through Generac. I also installed the part and it did not solve my problem.

I have 80 year old parents who pay the service fees yearly for their generator only to be lied to by their people namely (Mark in Tampa) to me and my mother multiple times. It's shameful. Also, when you try to call them to get support you only get answering services that send you links to purchase from them.

I cannot even give them 1 star. WE were promised the world before and during installation, last June. Now in March, the generator failed during a power outage. Everyone else had power in 3 hrs, I did not for 2 days because of an issue with the generator. THERE IS NO ONE TO SPEAK TO ON THE PHONE. You must fill out a service ticket and they may come by in the next 3 days! Furthermore, they show up, ordered parts and never updated or told me anything. Almost a week later and no communication whatsoever. If we wanted emergency service it would cost almost $300.00 They dont belong to BBB. Stay away from this company and use a reputable installer. Please check all reviews before living thru my nightmare.
