While in high school, I attended classes on residential wiring and general automotive repair. I was awarded first place in the Residential Wiring and General Automotive Knowledge contest for Florida in 1992, organized by the Vocational Industrial Clubs of America (VICA). In 1997, I returned to VICA as a judge for both the electrical and automotive competitions. I held an ASE Master Technician Certification in automotive for six years and received Yamaha Outboard Engines certifications for engines rated up to 250HP.

I then spent seven years with a petroleum additives company, BG Products Inc. (BG), where I quickly became the seventh highest producer among 1,100 salespeople nationwide. While at BG, I was trained in all aspects of petroleum products.

I currently take pride in serving as the company President!

Horrible Service. This is Not a consumer friendly company. Buyer Beware. Do your homework or you will regret your put. My New Generator didn't work during Hurricane Ian and getting it repaired and dealing with this company administrative staff was a bigger nightmare. There's a reason they use Mae West quote "" Flattery will get everywhere .""Nastiness will get you nowhere. It's because they have many angry customers and they chose to find excuses call their customers nasty and do little to remedy the problem.
They don' belong to BBB. And, it's no wonder why!

I had the pleasure of working with Brenden and Patrick today in Palm Beach County FL. They were truly professional, courteous and efficient while installing all of the electrical hookup for my generator. They took the time to answer all of my questions, help me set up my app and show me all the ins and outs of the generator. In the last 4 years, I have purchased 2 home standby generators from Generx and responsible for at least 4 more installs. I thought they were a good company until now.
They give you a customer-only service phone number. I guess this is supposed to make you feel special. All good until you try to use it. I have left 3 phone messages this past week of 3/27 and 1 message with Janet in regular customer service. She assured me someone would get back to me that day 3/29/23. No one from customer NO Service has bothered to call me back.
There are many Generx customers in this community. Hearing similar feedback from neighbors.
Today 3/30/23 I left a message for someone in management to call me. Will See.

GenerX has charged us large fees for maintenance of our Generac generator, the last one in June or July. During hurricane Ian, our power went out and the generator would not run. We lost our food in the fridge and were without lights or power for 48 hours. Now, to even come and look at the generator, they are demanding a credit card number. We have always paid them, never went anywhere else, and trusted them. Now they refuse to even look at our home. Arrogant company and very lousy customer service. We are going elsewhere.

I have used this company a few times to install generators with no issues and was a very happy customer! Unfortunately I had a few big issues with them this time around. When they used the heavy equipment they broke a line for my sprinkler system and did not take responsibility for it even though my landscaper took pictures and said it was from heavy machinery. Plus it stopped working the day they left so it was impossible it was from someone else. They also broke a landscaping light and the lighting company wrote me something to send them with pictures but I didn't get any response telling them it was from heavy machinery . So I had to pay for the damage and haven't had anyone from management call me or come by to go through the warranty like my previous experiences. Very unhappy and this will be the last time I go through them

Generx had installed our generator so we've been using them for maintenance, especially because they remind us SO OFTEN to do an annual check-up.

The first year we paid for the annual package, which was something like $300. I know there was some value to it, but the technician handed me the old filters and they looked brand new. There was no option to save some money and do only what was necessary, since we had not used the generator other than the weekly brief programmed runs.

This time, when they came out for the annual work they found it not running; a repair was needed. That's fine, and it was ultimately done. I don't know if that cost was reasonable.

However, the visit to diagnose, just a service call, was $209. None of that was applied to the repair. We have a lot of work done around our home and have never paid so much for that first visit. I did call the office to ask about it, and no mistake was made.

I will be looking for another company to maintain our generator in the future.

I used this company almost two decades ago. I purchased a Generac, liquid cooled, complete home system that I never had any trouble with. I bought a new home 6 years ago and needed a new system. Instead of buying a Generac system I [stupidly] purchased a Briggs & Stratton system and from the git go had major issues with operation and service. It blew up after 5 months because the install was not correct - B&S replaced it under warranty. Service on the system has been extremely hard to get. I have been through 4 'authorized dealers' since the re-install. My B&S system has not been working for 9 months - even though the authorized B&S dealer had been out 6 times, trying to 'figure it out.' I finally had enough - I need a system that works. I live in a remote area of Brooksville and being without electric service is not an option. So, I called the GenerX peeps and they sent Rob out to give me a quote. He even remembered me from 20 years ago! I signed the agreement and a week later they installed my new Generac system. The installation was very professional. The people they employ are competent and considerate. If you are looking for a new generator - keep in mind that service is very, very hard to get and generators today are not like 'the old days.' You need people who are proficient and reliable you can count on. I'm so happy I returned to GenerX - a company you can count on. :)

The Generac generator is very reliable. The problem is Generx called me and would not schedule me for my annual service without me giving them my credit card over the phone. This is a huge security risk and banks warn customers never to give out their credit card over the phone especially to someone you have never met. Someone at this company is not paying attention considering I paid them cash for my generator installation. Never give out your credit card or social security number over the phone. If everyone says no they will change this stupid careless policy that puts customers at risk.

Aug 28th my Generx Geneerator was installed with LP for fuel. it is now Sept 6th and I have a red light and my Gen will not work. I was told They would set me up Tuesday and see when they could send someone out to fix it. It is new and doesn't work. All that money and all there big talk how great it is and now no go.!!!!!
