Fantastic purchase experience from this company! Clayton was awesome and provided clear instructions on using and maintaining the equipment. He is friendly and informative and makes himself readily available for calls with any questions. I highly recommend them for setting up a home generator for times of need.

On or about November 11, 2021, I entered into an agreement/contract
with Austin Super Center for a 24k whole house power backup system in
the event of Grid power failures. I was well aware of the high demand for
generators at the time and the involvement of City of Austin Energy permit requirements, so the waiting period would be long somewhere between 6 and 8 months. I spent that period of time wainting for updates as to how
things were progressing or not. I never heard a word. I did not know if they
has 5,000 or 500 people waiting. No way for any reasonable person to have
a clue as to when the purchase could be finalized. I did not know the Staff, on
the person who interviewed me. and prepared the quote.
After about 6 months later I drove to their Business address and hoped to bet some questions answered. After months of knowing nothing, I was talking with a person who redirected phone calls depending on the subject
matter. She could not answer any of my questions. I personally thought
she knew little or nothing about the process of acqiring a Generator.
Just so happened that the Business Owner was nearby with a customer and
I was refered to him about my inquires. TJ as he was introduced, listened to my complaints and explained that Everybody wants a generator and that the Mfg can not keep up. Furthermore, City of Austin is difficult to deal with as far as the Permits required. I still was in the dark about how many projects
were ahead of me or how often or how many generators are delivered weekly or monthly. TJ did check with Austin Energy to determine when they would be coming to swap out our meter. I was informed that the date was
October 23, 2022,
That never mateialized and witin a month, some progress was made digging a 18 foot ditch for Natural Gas pipe and Power to the generator.
We are now almost 3 months after the October 23 effort; I have called and left messages and Emails, at least 3 separate times. No one answers the phone, it just goes to voice mail. No returned calls, no updates, not so much as WE are all sick, We don't have any electricians, or we are swamped.
Frankly, without more input justifying why there is no Action, this business
runs like a pathetic government office. Noone knows anything or can venture
an opinion.

They installed our generator last summer and it appeared to work ok. This fall it started failing its weekly tests. We have left four messages with their service department over a several week period. They have never, ever called us back. We finally gave up and called another firm.

I was setup through Costco to have them come and give me an free estimate for a home generator. I received an email saying Johnathon would be my sales rep and I ""may incur"" a trip charge fee of $75 if I was more than 50 miles from their office. I checked google maps and it says I am 44 miles from their office. When Johnathon called me before my appointment he said he would be charging me a $75 trip charge. I told him I did not live over 50 miles from them and he stated I would be charged $75. If it is going to start off like this before the sale, I can only imagine what the service would be like after the sale.

This company is impossible to work with. They don't answer their phones and they don't respond to email. The permit was not submitted on time. The lead time estimates were inaccurate. The plumbing work done had to be redone several times in order to fuel the generator properly. I'd estimate they were at my house around 10-20 times to complete the install over a 6-12 month period. The initial quote was 6-8 weeks so it was quite a ways behind. Contractors left trash in the yard multiple times during the different phases of the install - washers, bits of pipes, paint can lids, etc. Avoid.

I rarely do reviews. This is more of a public service announcement and a warning rather than a review. Mike Botello met with us in September of 2021 through Costco. If figured that is Costco trusts them, then I should too. Boy was I wrong with that.
Mike gave us an estimate for the install and promised that the install would be completed within 4-6 months. We thought this was a long time, yet we agreed because we really wanted to get a generator. He also promised that if there were any delays that they would contact us if it was not going to be installed within the promised timeframe.
We started calling them around 7 months to find out what was taking so long. They at first could not even find our order! Mike Botello no longer works there! When they did find it, they said someone would call. We waited for two weeks. No phone call. We called them again, they again promised that someone would call. No phone call. This went on at least a dozen calls to them. They finally agreed to a tentative date in July, yet they would call in mid June for the exact date. No phone call. Called again, told them we wanted a refund if they did not have an install date.
Four months...five months....now almost 10 months. No phone call. No eta. Finally I get a call back from the manager Johnathan. He said we can cancel, but he is keeping a 10% restocking fee. I told him restocking? WHAT are you restocking?? You don't even have anything to restock! I was very upset, so his response at this point: I don't like your attitude, so we are going to cancel your job and keep your 10%. I told him that I do not authorize him to give me partial refund and I am not canceling until I know that I will get a full refund or the item promised at 4-6 months installed! Johnathan hung up on me. So apparently the 10% is charged even if THEY cancel the install.
Save yourself: DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. They lie. They cheat. They do not contact you. Just because Costco chose them as their company to install does not mean you get customer service like Costco. If you do business with them, you will regret it. BUYER BEWARE!!! RUN!!!

I was in need of having a backup generator for the house. I am a Costco member and saw they had a local vendor they work with. I received a call from Kristy who handles inbound calls and answered preliminary questions for me and linked me up with Johnathan. Johnathan was amazing. He answered all my questions and will always return my calls which is huge to me in this day and age( shocking I know). He assisted me every step of the way and would highly recommend John and Generator Supercenter!

This company is from Houston, TX and all of their reviews are posted under that separate business division on Yelp.
I scheduled an appt back in September and it took them until December to have the Austin sales rep meet onsite and to give me a quote. Very shady behavior as well as lies and omissions. She quoted me over list price on generator, and then told me Generac ONLY offers 1 yr warranty and that I needed to purchase their 10yr warranty. Generac in fact offers a standard 5 year warranty as well as extended 7 yr warranty for free if you used recommended dealer. So a flat out lie.
She also failed to mention that I can remotely monitor and start the Generac generator myself and that I'd instead need to purchase their monitoring monthly service.
Lastly rep showed up 30 min late, then tried pressuring me to write a check for 50% down and sign contract in front of her.
I ended up taking my business elsewhere and highly recommend you work with many of the better companies out there. Go read their Houston office reviews and complaints with BBB.
