Never before have I had such a positive experience born of emergency.

Late Sunday evening our water heater began leaking profusely. We quickly turned off the water and called around for a plumber that would agree to replacing a water heater at this hour, on a Sunday.

Yevgeny came to our rescue. He picked up a new water heater from Home Depot at 9 PM and brought it to our house to install, which ended up being an unexpectedly difficult job. He worked late into the night (nearly 2 AM) to ensure that we would have hot water for our morning showers -- and was remarkably kind and helpful the entire time.

No Yelp review can fully communicate my appreciation for Yevgeny. His customer service, work ethic, and handyman skillset put him at the very top of San Francisco's plumbers and electricians.

Yvgeny called me back within 10 minutes of my contacting him and generously offered me detailed advice as to my options for the very old building that I am managing. Ultimately, he determined that I did not need a plumber for my problem but spent a good amount of time on the phone with me troubleshooting the issue and advising me how to proceed. Good guy and I will definitely use him in the future.

Yvgeney came to look at what I thought would be a simple electrical job but as I have learned from touching anything in this neglected 80 year old house...nothing is simple.
The news was bad but he thought about it overnight and came up with a great, safe (""I will only do work that aIlows me to sleep well at night"") work around. He gave me a great quote and despite unexpected delays and problems he stuck to his price. The job was not done until he knew we were completely happy. We are very pleased with the outcome. Yevgeny answers all his calls and texts messages.
He is incredibly knowledgeable and creative when solving tricky problems. a very nice and trust worthy man.

Yvgeney came out within 30 minutes of my call about a problem with an underground water line. He inspected it and gave me great advice about how to deal with it economically. He was methodical, clear, and unrushed. I will definitely call him for any future plumbing or electrical needs.

Absolutely fantastic work done on my clogged faucets, and, given how quick the job was, a superbly inexpensive rate was negotiated. Extremely fair, and honest. HIGHLY recommended. Yevgeny also took the time to answer some of my other, general contracting questions. Great advice and very thorough.

Yevgeni is as professional and honest as it gets. He educated me with exactly what he was doing with my sink pipes and even came with replacement parts. He walked me through the garage as well to show where improvements could be made to the outdated plumbing so the problem doesn't keep reoccurring. The service was thorough and very reasonably priced.

Revised - He contacted me again today and explained his process for repairing the issue should he come. I think there must be an issue with how he describes things over the phone because I understood him to say he was going to stop by when he was in the area on a specific date and he said he never committed to that and wanted to charge me $250 for a visit. Again I can't attest to the quality of his work because I didn't feel comfortable continuing but I think communication could definitely be improved.


Original - Disappointed in the follow up. He started out being very helpful - answering calls and looking at our photos. But then he agreed to come by our house to investigate the issue and never came. He hasn't responded to me contacting his phone number in over a week now. I can't attest to the quality of his work but follow through has been poor. Happy to revise the review if we receive service.

Edited because I realized I mistakenly posted another electricians review here. Below is my general sf review.

Nice guy, charges a VERY steep $250 minimum he reveals when he's on the way over. Asked for my involvement in the process but there wasn't much to do, so in reality he was taking me away from my work only to keep me involved with every minutia of the inspection. I believe it's good for me to understand what's going on but only to a point. I spent a total of 1.5 hours with him.

Couldn't fix my issue nor did he have a clear idea of how to solve it. Spoke ill of other items in my house having nothing to do with electricity. He disconnected the problem wires and left. Sent over some expensive recommendations. Though the best recommendation he gave me was to call the original electrician, which I did, who then visited and fixed the issue in under 30min.

So while he's an extremely nice guy, I felt like my time and money could have gone further.

Yevgeny has come to rescue us a couple of times. We were having a major leak in our plumbing and he came out after hours to take a look and get us temporarily fixed until our landlord came back to allow more work to be done. Yevgeny was available to take phone calls and provide support while the landlord was gone. I highly recommend using him and think he is very knowledgeable.

I'd like to thank Eugine for honest and professional approach handling my problem with water heater (gas pilot wouldn't stay lit). I left a message explaining problem, and Eugine called me back, leaving msg with possible problems (thermocouple is broken, etc) and possible price for fixing it. Unfortunately, Eugine wasn't available to come over the same day, so I had to call another company. The guy came, said that thermocouple needs to be replaced, fixed it, and charged within the range Eugine predicted.
