Rating solely based on appointment made and resulting ""No Show"". No work performed.

Found G.E.C. on Yelp rated 4.5 stars and local, so I called last Thursday for an appointment/estimate and got one for Saturday (yesterday). The woman who scheduled my appointment with ""Rob"" was helpful and pleasant -- even when I called her back a few hours later to adjust the appointment time to from 2pm to 9 am (so I could include 2 others who needed to be present).
The morning of our appointment, the 3 of us awaited Rob at 9am and by 9:40am no one shows up nor calls us.... so I call the G.E.C. office and then ""emergency number"" that their voice-message lists, but no one answers either number. Hmm... that's not good.
So at 9:45am I left voicemails for both numbers and then at 9:55am I sent texts to both asking to confirm my appointment and if Rob was on his way. At 10:06am I receive a call from Rob asking ""How may I help you?"". After reiterating my voicemail and text that ""I wanted to confirm our appointment for this morning and know if you were on your way..."", he said he wasn't aware of any such appointment and asked me who I spoke to because ""it's just me (him)"".
I told him I called the number listed in Yelp and he confirm that was indeed his office number, but said ""no one"" informed him of any appointments (no apology, no offer to come now or even reschedule).
Okay, so I'm confused... who could/would be the ones to ""tell him"" of the appointment if he just asked me who I spoke with to make my appointment because ""it's just me (him)""? The woman I spoke with sounded just like the one on his G.E.C. office's voicemail greeting!
Since he seemed uninterested in my business, I confirmed it by saying, ""So.... you aren't going to make it here?"" and he simply said ""Not today!"" in an annoyed voice making no other comment/offer.
I said, ""Okay, thank you very much!"".
Disappointed it ended this way with a local business that appears to be well reviewed by others Yelpers. : (

I needed electrical work done in my garage since my window contractor cut live electrical wire during the window installation in garage. Rob got back to me right away Friday and came on Sat to do an estimate at 10am. Rob showed up a bit early, which I always like out of my contractors. After he provided a quote, I asked Rob to start the job Sun at 10 am. Rob showed up on time and completed the work within 4 hours like he told me during the quoting process and also patched up the dry wall. I would definitely hire Rob again int the future for more electrical work I need to be done around my house and parents house.

Rob is great I had three adjoining rooms with lights that were blown out and as usual I tried troubleshooting myself. I told him everything I had done and he was receptive to everything I was saying. Turns out that it was a wire in the wall that had low voltage. Rob diagnosed the problem quickly and charges a reasonable fee. When we need an electrician, we call Rob. he has been to our house several times.
Last time he fixed a ceiling fan & some inoperable recessed lighting. There are a number of reasons why we are impressed with Rob. He is easy going & pleasant. He saves us money in the ways he gets things to work rather than replacing everything.
We don't worry about him taking advantage cost-wise. He has shown he is trustworthy & dependable.

Rob was great. I am a caregiver and I have several clients that I am in charge of running their households. One of my client's was having trouble with the lights flickering, so I called around and got a few estimates that wanted to charge over $3000.00 for a new panel. Rob came out check the electric panel and said that some of the circuits just needed to be rewired, that they were on overload. He saved us thousands where these other electricians just see you as a dollar sign If I could give him 10 stars I would. He is very professional, reliable, and very honest. Rob cares about his customers. If you are looking for a electrician look no further he is the BEST! Highly recommend his services to anyone.
