Since 1915, Gaylord Electric Company has held the title of Tampa's first electrical contractor and still stands strong in the residential, commercial, and industrial fields almost a hundred years later.

In 1984, a partnership was created between Mr. Stanley Gaylord and Mr. Don Miller that merged the strengths of Gaylord Electric Company and Miller Electrical Systems into Gaylord/Miller Electric Corp. With a commitment to customer satisfaction, cost-effective solutions, and high-quality work, the partnership's success is clear as the company approaches its centennial.

In 2001, the last remaining owner, Don Miller, passed away, leaving his legacy in the hands of a dedicated team of employees. Currently, these employee owners are dedicated to ""lighting up the Tampa Bay area"" as they maintain the business model established by their founders.
