Founded in 1915, Gaylord Electric Company was the first electrical contractor in Tampa, and nearly a century later, it remains a leader in the residential, commercial, and industrial sectors.

In 1984, a partnership was created between Mr. Stanley Gaylord and Mr. Don Miller, merging the strengths of Gaylord Electric Company and Miller Electrical Systems into Gaylord/Miller Electric Corp. Focused on client satisfaction, budget-friendly strategies, and quality craftsmanship, the success of this partnership is clear as the company approaches its centennial.

In 2001, the last remaining owner, Don Miller, passed away, entrusting his legacy to a small team of devoted employees. Today, these employee-owners continue to ""light up the Tampa Bay area,"" remaining true to the business principles set by their founders.
