Established in 1915, Gaylord Electric Company became Tampa's first electrical contractor and still stands strong in the residential, commercial, and industrial fields almost a hundred years later.

A partnership was formed in 1984 by Mr. Stanley Gaylord and Mr. Don Miller that merged the strengths of Gaylord Electric Company and Miller Electrical Systems into Gaylord/Miller Electric Corp. With a commitment to customer satisfaction, cost-effective solutions, and high-quality work, the success of this partnership is evident as the company nears its 100-year milestone.

Don Miller, the sole remaining owner, passed away in 2001, leaving a legacy entrusted to a committed group of employees. Currently, these employee owners are dedicated to ""lighting up the Tampa Bay area"" as they continue the business philosophy laid out by their founders.
