Established in 1915, Gaylord Electric Company became Tampa's inaugural electrical contractor, and nearly a century later, it remains a leader in the residential, commercial, and industrial sectors.

In 1984, a partnership was created between Mr. Stanley Gaylord and Mr. Don Miller, merging the strengths of Gaylord Electric Company and Miller Electrical Systems into Gaylord/Miller Electric Corp. With a commitment to customer satisfaction, cost-effective solutions, and high-quality work, the success of this partnership is evident as the company nears its 100th anniversary.

In 2001, the last remaining owner, Don Miller, passed away, entrusting his legacy to a small team of devoted employees. Today, these employee-owners persist in ""illuminating the Tampa Bay area,"" adhering to the business values laid down by their founders.
