Every interaction with Ed and his team impressed me, from scheduling with Hannah to the team on the ground that completed the job. Wanted to let the world know how great these guys are. I was in the middle of a home renovation project when my electrician abandoned the job leaving me holding the bag. Asked around as to whom would be a good contractor to help me finish the job. Turns out that four different people that I know (none of them knew each other) recommend Garcia & Son.

I appreciate his attention to detail and the fact that he really spent time getting to know my project. Coming into this half way thru it was decided that they would spend a few days on diagnostics and troubleshooting before starting work. This made sense considering that we had no idea how far along the last electrician had gone with the scope of work. Once Ed had reviewed my project in full he made a plan of attack. Long story short we found many many problems that needed to be addressed.

My project was a bit out of the norm...and I get the feeling that Garcia & Son did not need the headache of finishing someone else's blunder... but they took it on. They had smiles on their faces, were super professional and excellent at keeping me in the loop. I was impressed with the cooperation within the team and the skill not to mention the speed at which they completed the work. The project was completed as promised for a bit less than the amount projected. That never happens !!!


Garcia & Son made it possible for my wife and myself to move into our new home with our new baby. Was an amazing experience. Often when I flip on a switch I think of Ed Garcia and his amazing crew.

These guys are pro's. They came and installed can lights in our dining room ceiling and a motion sensor on our garage, in an afternoon. Each of those projects would have taken me a week to do alone, and that's not including all the clean up and finishing work that Ed and his team did. Just brilliant. They were able to run the new wires up through the back of our closet, saving us a lot of fussy plaster work.

I've been meaning to write this review for a while. I've had the pleasure of working with Garcia & Son electric on several occasions. The first was at a multi-unit building run by a HOA for which I was president. We needed to have our security and exit lights upgraded. Our previous regular electrician was unresponsive, so we decide to try a new electrician. Garcia & Son were tentative to our inquiry and estimate. They came to complete the work as requested. They were knowledgable about various replacement options and had thoughtful recommendations. As our multi-unit building is a converted warehouse, the electric system is more complicated than a single family home. Garcia & Son was swiftly able to make sense of our system, which is no easy task.

On another occasion, I needed a 220 line run for my business and some advice on another electric problem (at a new to us property). They were able to fit us in quickly to their work schedule and gave some advice on interim electric solutions for our problem.

In general, Ed (of Garcia & Son) is a straight shooter and very competent electrician and business owner.

Moreover, they have an incredibly upstanding, honest and wonderful group of guys working for them, which is AWESOME when you have people working in your home. I also loved that they explain things to you and educate you about the systems in your home, treating you as an equal and partner. I would never call anyone else!!

If you need an electrician and are in the East Bay, look absolutely no further than Garcia and Son Electric. As a single mom with a perplexing electrical problem, Ed was amazing sharing his unvarnished assessment of my options, including those that wouldn't result in any work for him. His advice was perfect. We proceeded and then other structural issues changed our options again, and Ed even offered to UN-DO some of the work he had already done (saving me a bundle) to accommodate the changing situation. Ed was reliable, honest, thorough, explained everything. Loved working with him and his crew!

Absolutely Awesome ! If I could give 10 stars I would. The folks at Garcia and Son impressed me before they even arrived. Out of 5 electricians I called, they were the *only* ones who said they would come diagnose a problem at my church for free and give us an estimate to fix. Everone else said they would charge at least $200, just to check it out.

And it just got better from there. They gave us options and committed to working with us if the option we chose did not solve the problem. Our electricians for life !
