I don't think I've ever interacted with a higher quality, higher integrity business, of any kind. To think of the trouble I would have saved myself if I had just started with them.

Alas, I did not. I tried to save a buck by going with a poorly reviewed, sloppy nobody from Kensington. Before I knew it, he committed more code violations, and did more sloppy work than I ever would have thought possible.

I tried to get someone to take over the job. One guy pronounced it ""a nightmare"" and walked away.

Ed said, ""we like a challenge.""

Not only did they fix every little problem, Ed had the integrity to go ON RECORD and identify the many code and plan violations of his predecessor, which helped me save a little money. Most guys don't want to ""get involved,"" but Ed will call a spade a spade.

Get them if you can. Be aware that you will mostly be communicating through a dispatcher, but can get Ed for a conversation or email if needed. Good service does cost, but Ed is WORTH EVERY PENNY.

Ed Garcia is a first class electrician. He assessed my rather complicated job accurately and came up with a fair proposal. His crew was amazing to watch. They worked hard and fast, and cleaned up afterwards. The job was perfect and passed inspection without any issues. Other contractors had given me much higher bids and made up problems which Ed assured me did not exist. He saved me thousands of dollars. He is a very fine person, as are his crew members. I give Garcia & Son my highest recommendation.

Garcia and Sons are hands down the best contractors we have ever worked with. You could not ask for a more professional and honest team to work with. Ed just saved me over $4500 which a dishonest contractor was trying to charge me for unneccesary work. We will contine to work with them on all of our upgrades. You would be doing yourself a huge disservice by not at least meeting Ed and giving him the opportunity to bid on your job.

Recently bought my first home and the outdoor lights weren't working. I was given a date (a couple weeks out) and a 30 min window for them to arrive. When the date came, they showed up on time and quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem, all the while providing clear communication and excellent work. Learned a lot about my house, too! Would definitely recommend, worth the wait.

We hired Garcia and Sons to troubleshoot a circuit breaker problem in our home. Two guys from their crew fixed that in September 2018, but noted unsafe wiring previously installed and offered to return and correct it. We immediately asked them for a bid on the work. It took until October for Ed to do a walk through and discuss the work with us. We did not receive a written bid until November. Their proposed contract did not describe the work that we had agreed on with Ed. We asked that the bid be corrected, but were told by Marina Garcia that their process was to write a ""Change Order"" and that our job was in line with many others and Ed would get to it. After waiting another month until December, I tried calling Ed directly, but was told by Marina he was too busy to speak to me. Finally, we were pressured by Marina Garcia to pay a $1000 deposit to get our job on their schedule. We would not pay a deposit on a bid that did not indicate the work we agreed to, including the cost of that work. As a result, Garcia and Sons told us they were withdrawing their bid. They told us we should find a smaller firm that is less busy. We still have a serious safety issue in our home and now have to start over- wasted three months. Anyone that wants a timely, reputable electrician without communications issues and questionable business practices should avoid doing business with Marina Garcia and Garcia and Sons Electric.

I've called on Ed and his crew many times throughout the years, and they are always consistent, reliable, friendly, knowledgable, and do an amazing job. They are also very honest and will tell you what you need and what you don't need done. If you need an electrician, give them a call. You'll be happy you did!

One of the best contractors I've ever worked with and I work with a lot of them...They are well organized, responsive, prices are reasonable and they are friendly too. One of the most important things that makes them stand apart is their excellent communication. Their work is clean and efficient.

They are very busy so be prepared to get on their list.

Like their names says, they are a family business. That's always important to me.
