We have used garafano before and they did a nice job but I had to endure a disgruntled rude employee. I was told he was having personal challenges so I let it go and things were fine. Recently we needed to add an outlet so I called garfanos office and spoke to a lady. I told Her about the job and she said William would call me that day or the next. 4 days went by and luckily I found another electrician who took care of me because 6 days later the lady called me and asked if I still needed a job done. No call from William as promised and no apologies from the lady who works there.

I have used Garafano for a few major projects including new 200Amp LADWP meter and panel replacement, and just recently a 60Amp subpanel and Electric vehicle charger installation.

In all cases they have been very easy to work with and after walking the job site with the crew I know I can trust the work to be done perfectly.
They also make the process of pulling permits and getting final inspection from LADBS very easy and painless.

We had lost most of the electricity in our kitchen. Our regular plumber and his assistant do some electrical, but they were stumped. Garafano was recommended to us and Oscar was out at 10:15 this am. Garafano Electric worth the price

I had two HVAC installers bid for a new packaged roof unit we were installing to replace our 65-year old LOUD and INEFFECTUAL split system. Each recommended an electrician to provide a pathway to the roof AND a new upgraded electrical panel. We went with the less expensive HVAC installer (knowing he was highly recommended), but used the other installer's recommended electrician, i.e., Garafano.

Why did we choose Garafano when 1) they were more expensive and 2) they'd never worked with our chosen HVAC installer? Because of William's personal delivery, experience, and knowledge (even pointing out the potentially non-performing breakers in our existing panel). I was also impressed with William's office help, Carly, who was very personable and responsive via phone and email.

I knew I made the right decision, when William showed up to meet the inspector a week before the work was scheduled. He then met the inspector the following Monday after the work was done, too! And even though the work, scheduled to take one day took two (even with his experienced electrician, Roger) Garafano stayed until the job was done!

When DWP came a week later to do their connections, I asked, ""Did the electrician do a good job?""

""Why,"" he asked, ""Did you have problems with them?""

""No, not at all. I was very impressed with them, but they weren't the cheapest.""

Wherein he said, ""You're smart, you don't want to go with the cheapest for this kind of work.""

Right on, and right good job, Garafano!

In conjunction with Solar City and the installation of my solar system, Garafano Electric was here to do the main panel upgrades to my home. They had a big job to do and did it very well indeed. Very good attention to detail. William and Renee were very courteous and as I watched them work they are clearly perfectionists. After the work was done, my property was cleaned up immaculately. I am very particular about professionals doing the job right. These guys get 5 Stars from me, for sure!

An entire section of the outlets my wall went dead around, say Halloween. I procrastinated and made up for the handicap by using extension cords until just before Christmas, then I finally called Garafano, for no other reason that they were close to my house. An electrician showed up about 17 minutes late (I think that is reasonable) and spent roughly two hours figuring out the nature of my problem and fixing it. The electrician (Rene) then pinpointed the flaw to a faulty garbage disposal that sent twice the current to other outlets, or something like that. I give him a lot of credit for figuring this out, as I had another guy come a few months earlier who did some unrelated electrical wiring but who, as a result of the analysis, should have suspected something was awry with my connections.
Overall, I am happy with the work Rene did, and cannot speak for any other employees of the company. Since talent resides within each individual, I will venture to say that next time I call Garafano I will specifically ask for this employee.
Oh, their rates are pretty standard in the business.
