NEGATIVE STARS...DO NOT USE THEM!!!

Don is the owner and is the person who does all the scheduling. Pete is the electrician who goes out to the house to do the legwork. He gets instruction from Don about the appointments.

We had some electrical problems in our house. Pete came out on a Fri at 7 am. It took him about 2 hrs with a lot of tinkering around to figure it out. He said the cause of our problems was from a ceiling fan that was installed incorrectly. Since we had to go to work, we told him we'd call him back to arrange another time for him to come out and resolve it. It's $140 for the first hour, and $75 for each subsequent hour. Don (the owner) assured us this would take less than an hour to fix the issue the next time they came out and would only charge us $75.

Pete was supposed to come back out the next day (Sat), which he did not show up. We left a message with Don and he said he would call us back to let us know what time Pete would be by that day. No call for the rest of the day. We called at the end of the day, and he finally called back saying Pete could not come. That was completely fine, I just wish he were upfront about it from the beginning of the day. He must have known how many projects were going on for the day.

Finally, on Wed Pete was supposed to come out at 7 am. He did not show up until 7:40 am because Don completely forgot about our appointment, even though we had arranged it just the day before. Don did not apologize for the tardiness or for forgetting our appointment. Pete spent 30 minutes tinkering around and realized his diagnosis was WRONG. He realized the problem actually lay elsewhere, and spent a total of an hour and 10 minutes to fix the problem.

At completion of the project, Don wanted to charge us for an hr and 30 minutes!! When we politely questioned the pricing he got defensive and began berating us. It was awful!!! He refused to acknowledge that THEY made the mistake in their original diagnosis and wanted us to pay for the time Pete spent re-diagnosing the issue!

Pete is very polite and nice, however, Don is not someone I'd refer business to. At the rates they charge I expect competence, responsiveness, and promptness, instead, I got the complete opposite!

I own a business in Fullerton and was distressed that the power to my building was randomly shutting down. First it was my 2 air conditioners, than started traveling to overhead lights and outlets and operator staions. I called several companies that would not commit to coming out the next day, and it is a heat wave. My computers cannot survive the heat. I called Fullerton Electric, and Don said he would have a technician out at 7:30 am the following day, and true to his word, Alex was there. He diagnosed the problem immediately as being an Edison issue, he explained to me why it was an Edison issue, and showed me the loose wire on the electric pole. He even placed a service call to Edison on my behalf. He was friendly and professional. I would use this company again...

Earlier today (a Sunday) we experienced an issue with our breaker box that was potentially pretty serious and couldn't wait until normal business hours. I called several businesses that claimed to be open and/or offered ""24/7 Emergency Service"" and was met with either no response, no call back, a text messages asking me what I needed, or my favorite, a guy who told me that he'd like to help, but couldn't because he was doing ""family things"". Fortunately, I finally found Fullerton Electric. Don came out within 30 minutes of our call, diagnosed the problem, and fixed the issue. I have now added Fullerton Electric to my contact list of home repair professionals, and they will be the only company we will use going forward for any future electrical needs we have. Thank you, Don!

The Fullerton Electric guys came to our house this past weekend. They were on time, clean, kept a work flow going completed the job before quoted time. They did a beautiful job and left not a speck of dust behind. My wife was so thrilled with the work she went around looking for other future projects for them to do. I'd recommend the FEC family to anyone!! We learned that they are a family owned and operated biz and we really were excited to know that our house was in great family hands. Thanks again FEC!!!!

I have used Fullerton Electric and worked with Don Sr. and Jr. three time over the course of a couple of years. I can honestly tell you it has been a pleasure each and every time and they give new meaning to the phrase ""great contractor"". I would never call anyone else for my electrical work. They are on my speed dial! Recently, I tripped a circuit breaker by using to many power tools in the garage and with all my effort could not reset it. I called Fullerton Electric's emergency number since it was after hours. Don Jr. walked me through the breaker reset at the same time giving me a little education along the way about circuit breakers. He stayed with me on the phone until it was fixed and I was satisfied. The cost? NONE. Previously, Don Sr. helped me rewire a ceiling fan to operate from two switches (one for the light and the other for the fan). This was done on the phone at no cost. Prior to that, the Fullerton Electric team rewired 220 to 110 in my back yard. They were efficient, provided high quality, and the cost was less than most others that I had received quotes from. These folks are top notch in every way. I HIGHLY recommend Fullerton Electric.

Although I rarely have time to write reviews, in this case I must make an exception due to what amounted to one of the best experiences I've ever had with an electrical contractor (much less any type of contractor for that matter). Don was extremely helpful with the design, Mike responded in a timely manner with the estimate, and Tom and his helper did an OUTSTANDING JOB with respect to the installation of four additional outlets in my place of business. In fact, the work was so good that it didn't even require patching and painting once completed. As a business owner, they exceeded my every expectation right down to the cleanup afterward - highly recommended!

I called Don to schedule an appointment to look at the electrical problem at our house. He asked me some questions and walked me through the process of fixing the problem my. It worked! On top of that, he did not charge me for this helpful call. He was the only company that I called that actually picked up the phone. The three other places I called before him had recordings. Thanks so much Don. My husband is going to be very happy to hear that we were able to solve the problem on the phone at no charge.

We have used Fullerton Electric for our home and condo for over 3 years. They have always been professional, timely, and most of all, honest. Today I was working in my newly vacant condo and noticed that the sockets weren't working. After a half hour of trying, I could not figure it out. I called Don and asked him to bring someone over to take a look at it. However, Don suggested that we trouble shoot on the phone to see if it was something very simple. He took a stepwise approach with me and we were able to get the electricity flowing again. In the past, I have had ""professionals"" come to my house, flip a switch and charge me $60 for their troubles. Fullerton Electric could have done that but they didn't. This is the kind of integrity that I often find lacking in businesses these days. Fullerton is a great family own company that preaches and practices good honest values. Thank you for your help. You have a customer for life.

The owner was very friendly and pleasant to deal with over the phone. Our electrician Jeff was polite when he came to check out the problem. Long story short, after Jeff was gone we discovered he had missed the main source of the electrical problem we were having. We called back and they got Jeff back out very quickly. They waved the service call fee for the return visit and completely acknowledged that they should have identified this on the first visit. We paid for the parts and labor and everything has been working perfectly for a few weeks now. A company's integrity is shown best in how they deal with problems and complications; we were very impressed with their professionalism and willingness to rectify the problem immediately. In the end they proved to be very competent electricians. Would recommend.

I wish I could give the Customer Service and Attitude of Mr. Holly a 0. I currently rent & had some flickering lights in the kitchen that needed to be serviced. My landlord said I would be getting a call from the Electrician to schedule the Appointment directly. I received a call around 12pm that I wasn't able to catch as I was at work. My car was in the shop so my husband and daughter picked me up at 5:30pm and we had a busy afternoon getting my car from the shop, making dinner...etc and I didn't get a chance to call Mr. Holly back. The next morning was Friday and my husband's birthday. I missed Mr. Holly's 2nd call at 7:30am and didn't get a chance to call him back until 9am. I proceeded to go through the motions of scheduling the inspection the following Monday, since we were not going to be home for my Husband's birthday and no one could let him in.

I said my goodbyes and then Mr. Holly started lecturing me about when someone leaves you a message you need to call them back! I couldn't believe it! He must have thought I was a young girl since I sound like I'm 12 on the phone, but I'm in fact a 29 year old woman and he was reprimanding me like he was my father! I tried to tell him that I had a busy day the day before and was sorry it took less than 24 hours for me to call him back, and he cut me off and said he was going to tell my landlord he didn't need the business and to find someone else.

This guy obviously has no respect for women and no respect for anyone that isn't going to make him lots of money.

I suggest if you don't have a big job, don't call this rude man. IF you have to use this company, have your husband call, I'm sure he would not have spoken to my husband that way.
