Recommended Customer Reviews

I have mixed feelings about this company. 13 months ago, I spoke to a rep from Jupiter Tequesta Air at his stand at my Home Depot on Palm Beach Lakes. They came out to my house to see the trouble I was having with an 8-year-old a/c that was always freezing up on me and never hit below 74 in the summer. We ended up purchasing a new $5700 a/c from them. I was so happy for a whole year. 68 at night- no problems, and lower FPL bills amazingly!
Then the pipe outside with the compressor turned to ice last week. Uh oh. I have multiple pets and lots of hair as a result, but I do change my filter weekly and am strict about it. I called and asked them to send someone out, but I said I was pretty sure it was the coil. That had always been the problem with my old unit. They did say a visit is $89- expensive, but I was still happy with them and figured I'd stay happy. The tech was a nice young guy, but basically it took him not very long to tell me it was the coil. $89 and there you go.
I mean, really? Then when he told me what Jupiter Tequesta air charges to clean a coil, my whole image of company changed. I know it's not cheap, and my old unit used to cost me $350. I expected them to say the same, maybe $400. I have since called around and found $400 & $475 at 2 other companies. But Jupiter wants $800. What???????? Considering we bought this brand new 13 months ago and got screwed out of $89 last week for nothing...
The upshot is I found a licensed company who will do it for $280. Guy coming tomorrow. Jupiter Tequesta needs to remember that the ""hood"" in West Palm Beach is not Jupiter Island. Really disappointed and really wishing I hadn't spent the $89 to merely confirm what I knew. I assumed the $89 would come off the coil clean price- many repair people do it that way, but I also assumed the coil cleaning wouldn't be the price of 2 plane tickets to Europe. Don't assume.

These guys scam people... Told us we needed refrigerant bc our air conditioner stopped working and froze (all we needed was a filter change that's why it froze) $200....Then they wanted to come back because they said we prob have a leak, which we then paid another $200 for, (we are at $400) they came out and of course told us we had a leak and it's not good etc etc which then tried to sell us $840 for the labor since the part was still under warranty!
We called for a second option (Carl's - who I highly recommend) and of course there was nothing wrong with our air conditioner!
They are a bunch of sales guys who take advantage of old people and those that know nothing about appliances and don't feel like dealing (like us) because these are our second homes and we just want to enjoy our time while down here!
Save your money and time! They have great customer service and that's why they get away with happy customers!

I haven't had work yet. They just came by for an estimate. They were on time and very professional and knowledgeable. I have to say I really appreciate how generous they were with their time. They explained everything in detail and made sure that I had all my questions answered. I feel confident that these are the guys I would like to do all the a/c, electric and hot water heater installed.

I bought their membership, never had to use it. This year I had a TRUE emergency and when I called them today at 8:30 am, I was told that no one was available and that they were booked until 9pm! They advertise an EMERGENCY SERVICE! What kind of service is that? I had water shooting 10 feet into the air! They would not even provide me with a referral or alternative plumber. THIS COMPANY STINKS AND THEY DO NOT PROVIDE 24/7 EMERGENCY SERVICE. THAT IS A DOWN RIGHT LIE.

I've seen this truck in our community a lot lately. Apparently, everybody is having appliance issues, whether it's an air conditioner or water heater...
We had a leak under our kitchen sink and I thought we'd give them a try. I went online and requested service because it was late and I figured I'd call for an appt in the morning. They called me back within 30 minutes and had me scheduled for the next day.
Joey M was great. He arrived within 30 minutes of the window I was given and gave a quote for service. My reason for 3 stars is because of price. This place is great, but expensive. We had toilets that kept running and the repair charge was 150 each. I'm not handy enough to fix them myself, but I know the parts are not that expensive at all and the repair didn't take very long. Joey repaired the leaky sink and a few other things as well, and the bill was around $800. Still, I'd maybe use this company again because of Joey's service and because their hours are really convenient.
I have to edit my review after needing more repairs and feeling like I was overcharged and swindled a little. One of the repaired toilets is still running and I had to get the sink replaced completely. I didn't use this company for these new repairs. I decided to try another local Jupiter company and was happier with the service and price.
In a pinch, I might use Jupiter Tequesta again. They are always open, and that's really helpful, but I'm not a fan of having to join a club to get plumbing services. I'm also not a fan of paying for replacements on things that were working prior to a repair.

LOCALS AND SNOWBIRDS BEWARE
This company is a train wreck. Requested an estimate for a Plumber to install a shower pan. When the Plumber arrived, he didn't even have a pen and paper to write anything down. After being here for over an hour, he went back out to his van to get a pen and pad. Why wouldn't he come in with the pen and pad the first time?
After the estimate was given, I made an appointment for the job to be done. The Plumbing Company called and shared that the Plumber would be here November 25th, between 8:30 and 9:30 a.m. He arrived at 10:00 a.m. When the Plumber arrived, I was so disappointed that it was the same guy who provided the estimate as this Plumber had lazy written all over him. The Plumber went back into the same bathroom, looked around, and said he had to leave to pick up some material. Now, since it was the same Plumber that gave the estimate and supposedly wrote everything down, shouldn't he have already known the supplies that were needed? Why didn't he come prepared?
The Plumber left and did not return for TWO hours. When he finally returned, against my better judgment, I offered him something to eat for lunch. 30 minutes later, after he finished his lunch, he noted that he had to go back to the store as he forgot the drain. How do you forget the drain when that is one of the major components to the job?
Once again, he left. This time, he was gone 2 1/2 hours. When he returned, he finally brought his tools in with him. He then had the nerve to say that he had to go to another job. NOTHING was done at this point. Either this plumber was extremely incompetent or during that prior 2 1/2 hour disappearing act, he went to another job.
Once the Plumber noted he had to go to anther job, my wife drove to the office in Tequesta, Florida and spoke with a Manager, Jason. My wife explained the situation. Jason was surprised to hear that the Plumber left twice for long periods of time. He was equally surprised to hear that he did not come prepared with all the supplies as that is the very reason they send the same Plumber that gives the estimate (according to Jason). Jason also shared that they would send another Plumber to assist. Guess what? No other Plumber showed up to help. This was all a charade.
Now, the Plumber needed to shut off the water so he can finally start the job. He didn't even know how to do that. He complained about everything but did nothing. Shortly after, he approached my wife and said he had ANOTHER job and that he would be back in an hour. This was the third time he left. He left and returned about 1 1/2 later, had some pie, and then went back into the bathroom. Minutes later, he called us into the bathroom, saying that there was a problem. He said he had to chip away concrete to install the drain and there would be an additional charge of 200.00. He also stated he couldn't finish the job because he was too tired. It was now 6:30 PM and NOTHING had been done. Tired from what? Coming unprepared? Unable to shutoff the water? Unable to drain the pipes? Tired from going to the store three times? Or tired from going to other jobs when he should have been here doing the job he was contracted to do?
He left, said he would return that Friday, November 27th, leaving his tool-bag and vacuum in the middle of the floor. On Thanksgiving day, I went to use the kitchen sink and there was no hot water. I walked over to the hot water heater and found it unplugged. I called the store and asked to speak with Jason. When Jason finally called me back, I shared the events, step by step how NOTHING was done. I told Jason, I didn't want this guy back and that his tools would be outside the front door for him to pick up on Friday.
In summary, this Plumber was incompetent and going to other jobs by his own admission. This company had the highest estimates of anyone in town, the most incompetent plumber I have ever encountered, and would NEVER recommend this company - not even to turn on a garden hose.
You would think that since Jupiter-Tequesta Plumbing had the highest estimate in town, the work would be done in a professional and timely manner - not so and never again.

I had to have my electrical re-wired for a hot water heater. Sean E. came within 30 minutes of the time that he was called. He gave a thorough explanation of the work required and completed the job quickly. The price was more than fair for work done on a Sunday afternoon!

I had service on my AC & plumbing on the same day! Jose Pineda & Joey M were great. They came at the earlier of the window time, which was only two hours. They were friendly & professional and were able to fix my issues without a big expense. So far this company for AC & plumbing and all of the employees I have met have made it a wonderful experience! Thankful for and honest & reliable company.

I came home from work and my house was HOT! The A/C was not working. I called Jupiter Tequesta A/C and actually got a live friendly person on the other line. She said the tech would be out within a 2 hour time frame. The tech Rich was there before the 2 hr frame. Extremely knowledgable and friendly. Rich explained to me everything that was wrong with the unit. Gave me a price wihich was extremely reasonable for the time he had spent on the unit. I'd give Rich 5 stars alone!!!
They're definitely my new A/C company!!!! Thank you.

JT installed (charged me) for a motor and said I needed a surge protector which they also installed at considerable cost. AC stopped working 14 months afterwards. I called them noting motor wasn't running. $89.00 later they said I need a new motor cost of $1700.00. Are you kidding me!!!! My AC ran 5 years without any problem before they got involved.
I sent the serviceman packing with him knowing I was not amused at cost and the wealth of information he provided for $89.00. I already know the motor wasn't working. By the problem, motor is ""NOT"" the problem. It is an electrical control module mounted outside the motor.
One call later I have a new repair service who quoted less than 1/2 the JT cost and explained to me what was happening ""on the Phone""!
Today I received an application from JT that I could buy a gold plan. It should be a ""red"" plan based on what I am seeing.
New serviceman came next day and fixed the problem permanently.
Learn from my experience, do not use this ripoff company! Unless you have buckets of money to waste.
