“A family tradition” Mark spent his childhood in his father's truck alongside his father Bob handing him tools while learning the business from the very start. Back in 1993, Mark branched off on his own, continuing the quality work with honesty instilled by his father.

Today, Bob enjoys retirement and Mark's sons Jake & Luke assist with the business.

Mark Fornoff came to crimp aluminum wire on our flat roof condo. It soon became apparent that the house needed to be completely rewired with copper. He updated all the switches and outlets and added canned lighting as well. He also installed 3 ceiling fans. It was a big job and he did a great job and stands behind his work.

Twenty four hours prior to New Year's Eve, a wired-in smoke detector in our home began ""beeping!"" I tried everything possible to stop the annoyance, to no avail. In the morning I called Fornoff Electric, recommended on Next Door, and the first availability was Thursday, January 2. I called several others, with the same response. Apparently Cynthia at Fornoff Electric took pity on our situation and called back to say her boss, Mark Fornoff, would come by between 5:00 and 6:00 (New Year's Eve) to solve our problem. Cannot say enough good things about Fornoff Electric. Called them on short notice to remove some wiring in a decorative post so it could be removed. Jake showed up on time and went right to work. During his visit he checked the electric panel and commented that it was very old (1958) and would probably need to be replaced soon. It was running only 70 amps to the house! The house was a new purchase and the inspector had made the same comment regarding the age and need to replace soon. We made the decision to have Fornoff replace the panel. When DWP initially said the panel didn't have to be relocated, Mike (my Fornoff liaison) was leery considering the present location and asked us to set up a second DWP meeting where they would meet with DWP. During the second meeting, DWP said the panel absolutely had to be relocated...they weren't sure why the first guy said no. I was glad Mike questioned the first guy and it turned out to be a good thing. Panel was relocated to a safer location. Turned out to be a two-day job. Jake and Mark (owner) were on time for the install. They cleaned up the areas (old panel and new panel) leaving no old wires, nails, screws, etc. They arranged for the permits and the stucco repair where the old panel had been. Their work is impeccable. I asked for a couple of quotes for some additional work and Mike provided them asap. I have them coming to install a chandelier in the next few days. Their schedule is a little crazy but they are making time to install the chandelier, which I appreciate. Fornoff has a client for life in me and my family. Workmanship, communication, and pricing all great. I highly recommend them.

Poor customer service. My interaction with Fornoff started well, I needed one circuit in the house changed from 120V to 240V, they responded quickly to my inquiry, put me in touch with Mark, scheduled and showed for an estimate, but that's where it stopped going well. After the onsite I didn't receive a call or quote of any kind. After 2 days I emailed, after 7 more emailed again only to receive a curt response stating the panel is full and would need full replacement at a cost of $4K, which seems a little steep. I inquired about possible options to a repeat non-response. They lost my business.
